The Circle of Witham Grange
Book 1: The Circle of Witham Grange A ritual. A scream. A curse that reshapes the land. The Circle of Witham Grange is the first story in The Continuance Cycle, a gothic series exploring the origins of a hereditary curse that binds the Dravelle and Hopton families for centuries. When Cecilia Hopton is led into the candlelit circle beneath Witham Grange, she believes she is taking part in a harmless ancestral rite. Instead, her final scream awakens three ancient spirits buried beneath the Somerset soil: Soil, which twists foundations and shifts the land itself; Blood, which demands sacrifice and binds lineage to pact; and Voice, which swallows grief until it becomes echo.As the thirteenth chair is placed at the edge of the circle, the pact is sealed — and the land begins to change. Paths realign. Shadows lengthen. The house listens. This opening tale reveals the moment the Continuance is born, setting in motion a cycle of hauntings, sacrifices, and shifting geography that will echo across generations. Every story that follows traces the widening reach of the curse, culminating in the debut novel. The Powers of St Katherine’s House. The Circle of Witham Grange is where the land first wakes — and where the Dravelle's and Hoptons lose the right to walk away.
