I worked at a company that basically did data research on businesses, and my job was cold-calling businesses trying to get someone to answer survey questions. It was miserable. A week of doing the job and I only ever got one person to take a survey.

The Canadian children's program Polka Dot Door. They had this character named Polkaroo that just looks like some typical fuzzy mascot, but it terrified me as a kid, and I'd run screaming from the room when I'd hear it yelling "Polkaroo! Polkaroo" from offscreen, heralding its arrival.

It is an enormous green monster with a giraffe-like neck and head, a short mop of blonde hair, a red, clown-like nose, and a bizarre red dot with a yellow border located in the center of its throat.
