Today is International #SafeAbortion Day. Access to safe abortion protects the health of women and girls. As with all other health services, women and girls should be able to access safe and respectful abortion care, when they need it, without fear of harm, punishment or recrimination.

Abortion should be regulated like other health services so that women and girls can access safe, timely and respectful care.
