Woke this morning to this message from my wife today as a means of reminding me that *that voice* lies. I hope it helps you to know that you’re also not alone.

Text reads: “Manh trauma survivors see themselves as likeable but not lovable.

Likeable, not lovable.
Needed, but not wanted.
Present, but not included.
Observed, but not seen.”

I didn’t even realize that such things were available until I saw a friend had this. Became a mission to acquire it and one day, more than a decade later, I did. 🤘

It’s *really* funny hearing a 5yr old yell out “Pussy Posse” and a an 11yr old yell out “Great Tits.” Anyway, my kids & wife are teaching me a new bird-centric card game.

After seeing the reference to Project Pegasus” in AVENGERS, I put on CAPTAIN MARVEL w/ dinner. It has now devolved into a discussion of @gailsimone.bsky.social’s incorporation of Pokemon cards for Gambit. Nothing but respect in this house. (Also got to point out her appearance in the film, too.)

When @entityflux.bsky.social makes special meals (tonight is homemade pizza), I try to put on movies to distract the kids and that she knows well enough to vibe with as she cooks. Such a silly and sweet film.

We got this for my oldest when he started home school (about to phase it out) and it works great with a stylus. He uses it mostly for procreate (animations & drawing) than writing, though. We got it some years ago, so not sure how well it’ll do long term, but could be a good jumping off point.
