Thanks everyone who went to ElixirConf EU, you guys were amazing. I talked about building a mulltiplayer game server using Elixir/OTP. The video will eventually be out and I'll be sure to link to it. I'll be at Goatmire next, not presenting but fully "present" to experience the goating and miring.

after moving in with my french gf, i wonder how y’all get enough coffee. i’m used to the teaspoon on the top. imagine using then one on the right for measuring your caffeine vehicle? no wonder y’all complain all the time

From LinkedIn, of course. I told them about APL from 1960, 2 tokens: ⍳5

linkedin post that talked about how it would be great to make some "ai first code", whatever that means, and compared token sizes vs normal computer languages

Goatmire was the most fun conference I've ever been to. It's Elixir + Nerves, which is already cool, but I think it's really the vibes that made it great last year. Talks are super varied. It's in a literal theatre and really has that feeling of watching a production rather than a dull conference.

theatre where goatmire was held, old-fashion and majestic, red floors and motifs. we're looking from the top balcony, seeing the stage and other levels

i have no words. some of my friends voted for trump. they said the trans thing wasn’t what he was about. they said citizens would be safe from ice. i don’t know if they still support him or if they lied to me, to themselves, or maybe they moved the goalposts. right now, i don’t care.

social truth post from trump: Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly. We no longer have Open Borders, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, or Weak Law Enforcement. Tariffs have given us Trillions of Dollars in Growth and Prosperity, and the strongest National Security we have ever had. We are respected again, perhaps like never before. God Bless America!!!

SF what’s going on? I thought I’d do some shopping downtown SF and it’s a ghost town. It’s midday Saturday. Is the rest of the US like this? So many vacancies. Also sad to see children’s toys behind glass. Made me sad.

i can’t tell if i’ve lower my expectations a ton or if there’s actually not terrible croissants in the US. i’m guessing a little bit of both. admittedly, the size is all wrong. looks like it’s suffering from gas.

it’s sad when the CDC is just a bunch of politicians. they updated their #vaccines page to promote the possible link to #autism. think about how many unnecessary deaths this will lead to. www.cdc.gov/vaccine-safe... to be clear, studies have been done- they just want to scare people #asd

i see a lot of men get sensitive and say "not all men", but i think you guys are looking at it from the top chart, most men are good men. i agree. but when women say "men", its from the second chart. excuse my mermaid chart, i didnt want to ask chatgpt to make charts for me #feminism

top chart, smaller % of men commit violence against women, most dont.
second chart, almost all of the perpetrators of violence against women are men

saw the french adaptation of les misérables in paris for New Year’s Eve, it was amazing. the lyrics were rewritten and quite different but I think it felt more powerful. the only one I missed was castle on a cloud. I love that imagery. the cast was amazing.
