This morning @greenparty.org.uk has called for the EHRC’s harsh and ill-considered guidance on single-sex spaces to be withdrawn. As it stands the guidance puts trans people at risk of discrimination & violence, and clearly hasn’t been drawn up with trans people’s input. I’ll be pushing for better.

Sounds great - bravo both!! Did you know he wrote a Sarabande for violin/viola duo as well, also variations on a theme of Handel? It's an absolute gem.

I think teachers and pupils both struggle with accepting a compliment sometimes - it's always a hard one to balance! It's extremely important to make compliments genuine and thoughtful when teaching music - and not just default to like "yeah that was good" 😅

Ah amazing!! Always so lovely to hear people taking up the instrument. I'll be posting teaching related stuff and interesting viola pieces I've come across so do stay in touch! 🎻

Noticing a distinct lack of Violas on bluesky! Where are all the violists at? Here are my own 3 instruments (in order) - 16.5" Dürr, 17 3/4" Ashford, and 17" Milward violas! Anyone know where the classical music communities / classical musicians are at? #musician #viola #violin #classicalmusic

Three violas arranged in a row. - one orangey in colour l, one light yellow, and the last one darker brown.
