WIP "normie" explanations of atmosphere accounts
post in leaflet: simple explanations of what the atmosphere is and what it offers

- the atmosphere is where i keep my stuff even if the app dies
- the atmosphere is where multiple apps can share the same stuff if they want to
- the atmosphere is where i have one handle / username across all the apps on it
- the atmosphere is where i can choose who i want to interact with and what i want to see
- the atmosphere is where i can choose what app i want to use to view your post, video, or blog
- the atmosphere lets me move between apps on the fly
- the atmosphere is the magic bubble that connects the things that need to connect

Trump says he's removing Kristi Noem as Homeland Security Secretary. Since I'm not seeing many outlets quote his post directly / show a screenshot of it, here is what he said directly:
Truth Social post by Donald Trump announcing Markwayne Mullin as the next Secretary of Homeland Security and Kristi Noem as Special Envoy.

"I am pleased to announce that the Highly Respected United States Senator from the Great State of Oklahoma, Markwayne Mullin, will become the United States Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS), effective March 31, 2026. The current Secretary, Kristi Noem, who has served us well, and has had numerous and spectacular results (especially on the Border!), will be moving to be Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas, our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere we are announcing on Saturday in Doral, Florida. I thank Kristi for her service at "Homeland." Serving 10 years in the United States House of Representatives, and 3 in the Senate, Markwayne has done a tremendous job representing the wonderful People of Oklahoma, where I won all 77 out of 77 Counties — in 2016, 2020, and 2024! A MAGA Warrior, and former undefeated professional MMA fighter, Markwayne truly gets along well with people, and knows the Wisdom and Courage required to Advance our America First Agenda. As the only Native American in the Senate, Markwayne is a fantastic advocate for our incredible Tribal Communities. Markwayne will work tirelessly to Keep our Border Secure, Stop Migrant Crime, Murderers, and other Criminals from illegally entering our Country, End the Scourge of illegal Drugs and, MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. Markwayne will make a spectacular Secretary of Homeland Security. Thank you for your attention to this matter! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP"

(from a @proton.me newsletter email) The idea of a comparison of password managers by a password manager company being at all "neutral" is so funny ... it's fine to have promotional material; please don't lie about it being neutral.
Bullet point text: "Choosing the right password manager isn't easy—there are countless options, and not all of them prioritize your privacy equally. Plus, everyone's security needs are different. We've created an in-depth, neutral comparison of the leading password managers to help you find the one that best fits your threat model and protects your data. Compare password managers here." The phrase "neutral comparison" is highlighted in blue, and "Compare password managers here" is a purple hyperlink.

according to the kimi team, kimi might think it's claude because it was trained on recent code (that might've been coded by claude, if i understand correctly) from reddit AMA: www.reddit.com/r/LocalLLaMA...
Reddit thread showing a comment from user "arsearsebaby" stating: "Brilliant model, but seen people pointing to the model identifying itself as Claude as evidence that you guys have distilled heavily from them. What's going on, would love to see this addressed." Below is a reply from "ComfortableAsk4494 CO-HOST" explaining: "Our observation is that with the right system prompt, it has a very high probability of answering "Kimi", especially under the thinking mode. But when the system prompt is empty, it sort of enters an undefined area, which reflects more about the pretraining data distribution. One of the recipe changes is that we upsampled the latest coding data from the Internet in the pretraining phase, and the data seem to be more associated with the token "Claude". In fact, K2.5 seems to outperform Claude on many benchmarks. HLE, BrowseComp, MMMU Pro, MathVision, just to name a few."

If you ask the new Kimi K2.5 AI model who it is without a system prompt, it identifies itself as Claude from Anthropic.

It appears they have even moved from "appear to contradict" to full on "contradict," which says something coming from The New York Times who is always incredibly careful about their language. (When you click on the live updates it also says "videos directly contradict")
NY Times headline: "Demands Come as Videos Contradict Federal Account"NY Times: "Minneapolis Live Updates: Demands for Investigation Grow as Trump Officials Blame Victim" "A judge ordered federal authorities not to destroy evidence from a fatal shooting by immigration agents. Videos directly contradict descriptions of the encounter by administration officials."

Small Web badges. Text reads: "Small Web initiative members can display badges on their websites to identify themselves as part of a community committed to authentic content created by humans." A set of pixel‑art “Small Web” badges displayed on a dark background. The badges vary in style: simple text bars reading “SMALL WEB,” a badge with a small pixel dog beside the text, a badge with a stylized lowercase “g” next to “SMALL WEB,” and another showing a pixel character flying horizontally. Circular pixel patterns frame the sides.
