#alphabetchallenge #weekZ like 2 weeks late bc my life has gone insane recently read more about that here gofund.me/4c132312 Z is for zen, which is the kind of calm i was hoping to elicit with the photo and also something i could use rn #photography #naturephotography #reflection

a tree branch sticking out of a lake. the surface of the water is glassy, reflecting the beach back with just a tiny ripple of distortion. the branch is composed on a gradient of blue, ranging from baby blue at the top of the image to almost navy at the bottom.

#alphabetchallenge #weekY #photography #photographychallenge coming in right under the wire with Yellow (it took me most of the week to think of my original & good word)

a stark yellow wall with a single window in the center, a little above the center line of the wall but centered overall in the frame. you can see scuff marks on the wall and a coat of paint around the window and bottom half of the frame that is just slightly off color. the top of the frame is a clear blue sky, but you can see what looks to be a hazy reflection of a cloud in the window

#alphabetchallenge #weekX #photography x-ray (wondering how many people are using the same word this week)

a series of trees peeking over a fence, the shadow cast on the fence from behind gives the illusion that you can see the trees all the way down

North Carolina's House has rejected the anti-mask bill! The bill will now go through a compromise process, which could include re-adding a health exemption. More work needs to be done, but this shows that advocacy is making a difference. Keep going!

posting more landscape #photography from the archives bc it’s fun posting somewhere that people see your work (instagram take note) #art #photos #minimal

a square mirror lying across the raised break in a sidewalk. partly cloudy blue skies are visible in the mirror, which is partially covered by shadow

a flower that is being illuminated by a ray of light moving horizontally over the frame

a series of vertical metal slats curving through the middle of the frame

a comparison between a scraggly tree casting its shadow on a tan wall & a scrunched up piece of cellophane casting its own shadow. the intent was to make a diptych in one exposure
