I think it's #portfolioday I'm Ellie, a fantasy illustrator/author. I work with watercolor and ink and have a keen interest in dragons and creatures. I'm currently busy illustrating my debut picture book about a baby dragon raised by ducks, coming 2028. www.elliefortune.com

I hold high my victory PB+J. Lots of mountains have a box of treasures at the top to look through, I don't take anything home though. Plenty of leaves to peep right now. 🍂⛰️

The last few weeks going through Gramma's art supplies has been hard. My studio is finally coming together, filled with her magic. I miss her, and I'm exhausted.

I went hiking with the guys last weekend. We did 15+ miles and pup wasn't even tired. #hike #mountains #nature

Hiking is sometimes a sensory nightmare for my autistic ass, but nature always has a way of blowing my mind and making it well worth it. Now to hibernate for a few days. #hike #nature #outside #smalldog #flowers

It's been an eventful spring despite health troubles. I had Endometriosis surgery, skied on my birthday and found a troll, visited family and picked up a free greenhouse, then the fellas and I built the greenhouse with the help of our friends so now I can grow tomatoes n things.

It's hard not to fall in love with fungi. A time I experimented with using only color pencil on leftover paper from way back in college.

I don't often make fan art, but I love the Ohmu so much. Watercolor, ink, color pencil.

An oldie I still like okay. I played a lot with this one. I should be brave again and play more. #faerie #fantasyart #watercolor #traditionalart #elliefortuneart

I get to feeling kinda down, the only art I have to share is really old stuff. Like why don't I have anything new? Then I remember that I've been drawing dummy books the past two years and working on 32+ illustrations for a PB and I'm like oh yeah. #elliefortuneart #fantasyart #watercolor

An oldie. Sometimes I think my art skills are improving, sometimes I think I'm getting worse. Maybe I still like this oldie because I indulged in my favorite things, slithery, snarly dragons and wicked Disney-esque forest witch. #fantasyillustration #watercolor #elliefortuneart #dragons #witch

I've been hesitant to share art, on account of AI and everything. So I'm trying out the glaze thing, starting with this unicorn since this is sort of the mood lately. #unicorn #fantasyart #elliefortune #Illustration #watercolor

Endo knocked me out for five days, so as soon as my body felt okayish, I went out for a few runs. Always dig the views from the steeps. Makes me wanna write more fantasy stories.
