In college, I became known as the Rice Krispie Treat Queen. The groups I belonged to occasionally had bake sales, and I firmly believed that bake sale goodies MUST be homemade! All I had was my trusty hot pot, and after a failed attempt at making fudge (I couldn't get it to set up!), it was this.

Brown butter rice Krispy treats with extra marshmallows in a 9 by 13 Pyrex baking dish.

I was looking forward to taking the graduates back-to-school shopping. I told them up front that I wasn't outfitting their ENTIRE dorms, but I wanted to buy them some useful and fun things. I ended up bored in IKEA. Whoever thought that was possible? I also spent way less than I expected.

I tried putting the lid back on the tiny Tupperware container that held the condiments for my sandwich. It rejected the lid and sprung to the floor, tumbling across like Simone Biles going for the gold! It left a fine splatter of sauce across several feet of floor. Thankfully, none on me!
