I thought the On Demand Events were great at DLC Richmond, but apparently Judge Phil thinks I have a lot of improvement to do before the next #Disney #Lorcana Challenge 🤣

So instead, we ruled it as a CCE (card count error)—the player has 1 too many cards in hand. We shuffled 1 random card from hand into the player’s deck, returned Tramp to ready position, and then let the player discard 2 from Tramp’s effect.✨ 3/3 #Lorcana

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 23/04/2025

I think that knowing the top card of the deck (the first card that would be returned in the rewind) would give an unfair advantage to the player who would then choose what 2 to discard. 2/3

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 23/04/2025

ANSWER: @dizzy95.bsky.social is right—Stitch’s is effect looks for the cost of the character, not the strength! This was a GRE, which means we would rewind: 3 random cards back to the top of the deck, then proceed with draw 2, discard 2 for Tramp’s effect. HOWEVER… 1/3 🧵

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 22/04/2025

What play error has occurred, and what do you think would be a good way to resolve this? I'll reply with what I did tomorrow! 4/4

100 1

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 22/04/2025

The player says, "Exert Tramp to draw a card with Stitch's ability, since Tramp has 2 strength." They draw a card, and then say, "Now, I'll draw 2 and discard 2 with Tramp's ability". They draw 2, and I pause them here. 3/4

100 1

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 22/04/2025

Player has Ursula - Deceiver and Stitch - Rock Star in play, and 5 ink. They play Tramp - Street Smart Dog (paying only 5 ink, since they have 2 characters in play). 2/4

Happy #ICL Monday! While you're waiting for tonight's competitive Disney #Lorcana matches to start on @illumineercl.bsky.social, here's a fun judge call from one of last week's match-ups... 1/4 🧵

Come hang out with me tomorrow and catch some competitive Disney #Lorcana - it’s the start of Round 3 of ICL! Team Ohana vs. Cerberus Den 🌺 🐶 See you at 6pm Central @illumineercl.bsky.social

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 02/04/2025

I love the ICL players, casters, staff, and chat (who catch any error I miss, without fail!)—I love that we aim for perfection, while recognizing that mistakes happen; that’s why the Play Correction Guidelines exist. In the words of Anna, all we can do is “the next right thing”. 💜 4/4 🧵

010 1

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 02/04/2025

The deck could not be checked or altered mid-game, and the player had been playing with the deck as-is for their entire matchup (on camera). So, we needed to alter the deck list instead of altering the deck—this meant Deck Registration Major, even though it was probably just one card different. 3/4

120 2

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 02/04/2025

Phil has posted about today’s LCCC ruling, go check that out. For ICL which we judge at Competitive Level, the Deck Registration Error was discovered in the middle of the final game of the round. 2/4

110 1

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 02/04/2025

Some of you who enjoy watching competitive Disney #Lorcana have asked why a Deck Registration Error in ICL led to a game loss, while a similar error in LCCC was remedied with an ink proxy. 1/4🧵

We treated it as if they were seen (Hidden Information Error). Shuffled those cards into the deck, then had the player finish resolving Doc. Accidents happen—quick and easy fix, and they were back to playing! 💖 2/2 🧵

Last night’s #Lorcana ICL match with @illumineercl.bsky.social had one pretty easy judge highlight — Player resolving Doc - Bold Knight. They drew one card, then accidentally knocked ~5 cards from their deck onto the floor. We can’t confirm if the cards were seen or not, since we’re on stream…1/2 🧵

110 1

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 20/02/2025

Turns out they only had 3 cards in hand though! We rewound through 1 card draw (1 random hand card goes back to the top of the deck). Don’t use dice to mark your hand—communicate with your opponent!💜 2/2 🧵

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 20/02/2025

I’m a week late, but here’s the judge highlight from last Wednesday’s #Lorcana ICL match with @illumineercl.bsky.social … Player with Clarabelle LOHH ended their turn and drew until they had 4 cards, because opponent had a dice sitting on their hand cards on the table with 4 pips… 1/2 🧵

(🧵3/3) I love that viewers of the ICL are paying attention; we are all responsible for a clean game state! I’m learning from this and becoming a better judge—I’m definitely going to handle speed-games differently in the future, so I make sure these are as clean as the rest of the match.

120 2

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 30/01/2025

(🧵2/3) For game 3 in the final match, players had only 10 minutes left! Due to the resulting speed game, I missed a couple errors: - Smee exerted at end of turn didn’t take damage. - Player drew off Diablo then forgot to draw for turn. I only know I missed these because viewers told me. THANK YOU!

Ellie O @ellie-o.lorcana.community · 30/01/2025

(🧵1/3) #Lorcana Illumineer Champions League last night was a blast. As the judge, the only times I stepped in were: - Players needing to update their ink count. - Player not knowing Elsa The Fifth Spirit was mandatory. - Player turning their cards opposing directions when exerting them.
