i rewatched 176-178 a few nights ago and needed to draw this to comfort myself. they care about each other even though they pretend not to. #dcmk

an ink drawing. haibara ai (with bandages from episode 178) and edogawa conan are sharing a bed. she is asleep but troubled, having a nightmare, and he is barely awake. they’re touching hands. also conan borrowed a girly pajama set from her to sleep in

my friend is playing scarlet hollow right now and we were trading screenshots back and forth while i was watching detco, so this image popped into my head. the game is probably too scary for me but i love dustin and dustin mom very much

edogawa conan with two opossums. dustin is being held in his arms and dustin mom is perched on his head

#hourlycomicsday start! if you’re wondering why it takes me like eight hours to watch a two-hour movie on average it’s because i have to pause, screenshot, and talk about the screenshot.

i read a book in bed while listening to music and then an all star mashup comes on, which makes me frustrated-amused bc that song haunted my comics last year. then i watch a detco movie. there is a drawing of him in a little suit. i explain that it’s really cold so nobody might take me out tomorrow.

i am lying in bed reading fanfiction and drawing these comics and then i go to bed for real. i wake up at 1:30 in different pajamas and go eat breakfast (dog under the table) and then my dad asks if i want to go downtown, which i do.

i explain that it feels like 16 F outside and draw our outfits for walking around outside. there’s still snow on the ground. we drive by an escape room called Sure Locked In.

a drawing of buildings downtown. i highlight all the stores we walked into and also the library. a big felted decorative mushroom. at the toy store i see an “animal farm playset” and make a george orwell joke. my dad asks “where’s 1984?” because he is a good dad and yes-ands me.

finished my friend's birthday gift before going to sleep which is what i wanted but also agh my shoulders my all of me. maybe i should get some kind of desk for drawing in bed to mitigate some of this??? still it turned out nice and they liked it, that's all i can really ask for

my boy has arrived finally. it took two months so clearly he walked here on his little legs

four small toys on a bookshelf. 1 white ikea mouse, 1 moomintroll, 1 souvenir koala from australia, and 1 edogawa conan

the conan toy in a tiny neon green teddy bear sweater i was trying on him to see if it fit. it does not fit at all you can’t even see his hands. he is being held in my hand

as a hopeful pretext for getting back into comic work (and also because i was bored) i drew a fancharacter having a Summer Moment. put here bc he turned out pretty cute

a drawing of a young man wearing heart-shaped sunglasses sitting at a picnic table smiling. in front of him is an ice cream parfait

so i know make a terrible comic day was on the 24th but my power went out while i was asleep three days after so can you blame me. this was how my half-asleep brain reasoned this out????

#dcmk i was hamstrung in posting this before midnight by the scanner computer being shut down and everyone else being asleep, so pretend i'm not late for kaito's birthday, okay? saguru is here because i wanted him to be

a line drawing of three elementary-school aged children playing with a kitten at a birthday party. text says "happy birthday, kaito! 6-21-2025"

it's a great idea to do an art piece containing things you've never drawn before the day you need it. this will never backfire

reached my one-year anniversary of starting detective conan today just in time to watch the twentieth anniversary special for it. also clocked in at exactly 850 episodes watched, a nice round number

@dipndops.bsky.social went to look at that art again and i still like it even though i doodled it to fill up an extra page at 4 in the morning before going to bed so you can have it. more kiss

five minute tester doodle of heiji to see if my shitty tablet or the oekaki interface was the culprit in the lag problems i was having. sadly it appears to be the oekaki interface since csp didn't really lag. weh

very rough sketch of hattori heiji smiling. he is like a cute puppy in spirit

realized that even though i don't have new comics i can put the silly one i made last year up here if i want. no one can stop me. i suppose i can #dcmk tag this just for organization purposes

since i have despite myself gained followers on the website i mostly use to reply to people i am resolving to try and get at least another page done of my self-indulgent dcmk comic project. you would think it wouldn't take more than six months to sketch so few pages but...time management...

#dcmk art i made for my liveblog thread! figured i might as well put it up here, happy bday you little murder magnet

a line drawing of kudou shinichi, the protagonist of the anime detective conan. he is wearing a sherlock holmes t-shirt and sitting down to a midnight snack of lemon pie. there is a detective-themed birthday hat and an infinity-shaped candle on the table, plus a match and matchbook. there is an arrow pointing to him that says "woken up in the middle of the night." the other text in the image says "happy birthday, KUDOU SHINICHI," and "5-4-2025."
