Today, the Supreme Court ruled that mail-in ballots postmarked before but received within 5 days after Election Day must be counted. As astronauts, some of us cast our votes from space. This is an important step to ensure that astronauts and all eligible Americans can exercise their civil rights.

It doesn’t matter what problem you want to tackle — money in politics stands in the way of solving any of it. The best thing we can do to make Washington work better is: 1. Ban stock trading in Congress 2. Get corporate PACs and dark money out of politics

Science is how we’ve cured diseases and how we just sent four humans around the Moon. It’s a big reason why we’re the greatest country on Earth, but firing the National Science Board shows just how much Trump doesn’t understand that.

Twenty-three years ago today, seven astronauts never made it home when we lost space shuttle Columbia. It was a tragedy that changed space exploration and reminded us of its incredible risks. I think about their families every Feb. 1st. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.
