elle @elle.email · 23/04/2026added a little sign on my homepage with tips for personal site making ^-^ sometimes i get emails asking for advice on how to approach starting a homepage so i thought i'd write it on my page. i point to some more technical resources in my blog post about this: ellesho.me/page/website... 0383
elle @elle.email · 09/04/2026just a quick blog entry about fixing some buggy stuff on my homepage while my body breaks down on me this week (╥_╥): ellesho.me/page/website...ellesho.meelle's homepageelle's hypertext stuff 020
elle @elle.email · 29/03/2026if u want to make a isometric 3d layout like mine, the first step is to draw/design your basic scene in that perspective and then lay it out in html/css without any interactivity yet. then you can build up from there! 010
elle @elle.email · 29/03/2026my advice to people beginning is to start small and build on it over time. my page is the result of ~2 years so far of adding/subtracting bits and pieces every week (see the time machine on my page.) the first version had almost nothing. a personal site should be a living process that grows with u! 020
elle @elle.email · 29/03/2026it's fine to look at my code and see how things work and how u might make something similar! that's why i have the source viewer right on the page ^-^ the way i write my code is kind of personalized and full of my own formatting idiosyncrasies so it might be more confusing if used as a strict guide 120
elle @elle.email · 28/03/2026ok i think i fixed (⌒_⌒;) u should be able to go back to grainy xerox text on ios now 000
elle @elle.email · 27/03/2026are u on an iphone? i think ios/webkit has some new issue with my grain filter. try toggling the filter (the grainy square at the top right) to switch to clean text. i think u might see all the entries then. thx for the report! i'm going to bed now but i'll work on it tomorrow/this weekend (⌒_⌒;) 000
elle @elle.email · 27/03/2026of course u can use it as inspiration. but "steal" sounds like u just want to copy & paste (⌒_⌒;) if so, you'd be missing the whole point of making a personal site! the fun part is making something totally tailored to yourself rather than having someone else or an llm decide what you get ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 120
elle @elle.email · 27/03/2026new blog entry update: crying, screaming, throwing up over the jdrama series i'm watching, some reminiscing about the past, and adding a boba recipe to my personal homepage to make it more personal ^-^ ellesho.me/page/website... 1241

elle @elle.email · 13/02/2026oh weird! what version of safari and macos are u using? and do u have any special extensions installed? it works on my mac/safari ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ are u just seeing the "no js" message or a totally blank page? 110
