I may have forgotten to promote #Flights25 so... Whoops. Hi, I'm Ellana, I was on the ##FoFModernizingMythology panel! If you have further questions, things you want to discuss, or any myth-named pets, please do let me know

Because I'm in the UK, I have to prove I am an adult before being able to check my messages here. Fuck this. Fuck anyone who thought that this was a good idea. I am old enough to remember a time when you were told not to use your real location online, let alone your name. Now I have to prove my age?

Hi so... www.youtube.com/watch?v=9F_5... I'm in this. This is a panel called h*cking good boys in sff, and we talk about pets in #sff. And yes, I really am that consistent about how much I love pets and my reactions to them. This is a panel I was in during #Flights2023 and I had the best time <3

Made #freebie Porco Rosso cross stitch pattern! Watched the movie. Compelled to make this. Feel free to use/make/share! For colors red, sky blue, black. Half stitches for background. #stitchsky #crossstitch #ghibli #porcorosso #antifascism

Preview of a cross stitch pattern with porco rosso's plane, reading "Id rather be a pig than a FASCIST"

WE'RE GROWING!!! Interested in joining the Flights of Foundry team? We're looking for volunteers, specifically: - Flights of Foundry Program Lead - Flights of Foundry Sponsorship Getter - Social Media If you’re interested, drop a line to leaders@dreamfoundry.org.

Flights of Foundry Program Lead
On the one hand, it’s really fun to say Flights of Foundry is planned by 2.5 humans and a robot. On the other hand, there’s a lot more we could be doing to make Flights even better if there were more humans in the mix. If you’d like to be the person in charge of wrangling the program (you won’t be working alone) then we’d like to talk to you. There is a stipend available with this position, though compensation is not commensurate to the work and it is a volunteer role.

Flights of Foundry Sponsorship Getter
We’ve really outgrown the platform we’re using for Flights of Foundry. At the same time, with round-the-clock, international attendance, our needs are a bit idiosyncratic. Replacement platforms are expensive. The regular Flights budget is extremely unlikely to ever support an upgrade, so we’d like to seek sponsors who’d give us the money we need to run a multi-stream event with 1000+ attendees. Do you have experience with wrangling sponsorship money? Please reach out!

Social Media
Want an internship to harness your social media skills? Love lurking on Bluesky, Mastodon, or Instagram and want a more active way to participate? Do you just really like making graphics on Canva and shouting bad puns into the void? Come help us out with our social media! The specific obligations and shape of the position are very flexible and can be discussed specifically with you.

If you’re interested in any of these positions, drop a line to leaders@dreamfoundry.org. Specify which position you’re interested in, how much availability you have for working on it, and some good times to set up a meeting with you. (Meetings can be video or text-based. We’re chill.) It may take a couple weeks for us to respond.

Flights of Foundry Video Wrangler
You may have noticed that the release of past FoF programming has…foundered. We got a really slick and smooth workflow figured out just in time to have no more time ever to get the videos proofed and uploaded. Help! This position involves light video editing, proofing behind some very neat captioning software, and uploads to our Youtube Channel. You will not be expected to review the videos for content. That will remain a staff task.
