Tell me again how it was a slip of the tongue, @fetterman.senate.gov. That's some turn around, though, going from Bernie Sanders supporting you to Mike Lee singing your praises.
Excerpt from a 29 September 2026 Time Magazine article titled "'He's Basically a Republican Now': Fetterman Turns to GOP Donors For Campaign Cash" by Nik Popli:

The fundraising appeals appeared under several other Republican-linked domains, including Unshakeable Conservatives and Freedom Faction. It remains unclear who owns the lists or the arrangement Fetterman’s campaign has with the groups behind them. Campaigns routinely rent or otherwise obtain access to donor lists as a way of reaching new potential contributors.

Fetterman’s office did not return a request for comment.

Another fundraising email sent this month from the gopsquad handle came with Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah listed as the sender. It was focused on Fetterman, and began, “I just got an email from John. He's basically a Republican now.”

Allow me to help you out, @theguardian.com, with a headline correction: @fetterman.senate.gov reveals what the left has been saying is true: he's been a Republican all along.

Every time I see shit like this I hope the "friend" sees the comment. Because that's a real shitty "friend". If your money or your time is supporting an organization that you KNOW wants someone dead, and you CONTINUE to support the org after knowing that, you are NOT a friend to that person.
Excerpt from 2026-09-22 Slate article titled "It Wasn’t Looking Good for Ed Sheeran. Then I Saw His Most Recent Concert." by Nadira Goffe:

But inside the stadium, the opposite proved to be true. Sheeran took the stage in front of what appeared to be a full house (though it’s worth noting that resale ticket prices had plummeted). My section was full of tweens, children, and middle-aged couples out on date night. They did the wave before the show began. (This still happens?) I overheard my next-seat neighbor mentioning having seen Pink. When I asked her if artists’ views have any bearing on how she enjoys their music, she was quick to say no. One of her best friends is transgender, she told me, and she eats at Chick-fil-A.

Excerpt from 12 August 2026 Rolling Stone article titled "Incarcerated for Life in Trump’s War on the Left" by Jack Crosby:

Trump’s policies — in particular a singular executive action known as National Security Presidential Memorandum-7 (NSPM-7) — have struck more extreme activists first, but could soon expand to persecute even the most mundane forms of political organizing. You may think that what happened to Autumn Hill could never happen to you — that in the United States, the First Amendment still shields citizens from the brunt of a vengeful administration. But that era, Trump and his advisers say, is dead. Step a toe out of line, and your life, liberty and pursuit of happiness are all in jeopardy, if the president and his administration decide to brand you as a terrorist.

President Donald Trump is the father-in-law of new Lakers co-majority owner Josh Kushner's brother, Jared, who married his daughter Ivanka.

The Trump family now has a direct connection to the NBA's most historic franchise.

Behind him is a blurry crowd in seats, and they appear to be largely of Caucasian heritage. To the left of Donald's head is an oblong-shaped light that doesn't appear to be attached to anything.

And on Donald's forehead is a small blue strip of paper that looks like part of a full-sized post-it note was cut at an angle. It's blank, thought there are so. many. labels that could be written on it. Considering I had just looked up the lyrics to the Dresden Dolls' "Coin-Operated Boy" (do not listen to this, it's an earworm that will. not. die.) it struck me that it could also be a taped over coin slot for a non-operational machine.]

Excerpt from a NYT film review for Maestro, directed by Josell Ramos, dated 2004-03-12:

As frustrating as ''Maestro'' is to watch, it reminds you of the primacy of dance in popular culture. The music that Levan, Mr. Mancuso and many others developed and brought to their followers was not really about words, tunes or social attitudes, but about the relationship between sound, rhythm, emotion and the body, programmed into extended trips that produced an ecstatic communal release. This Jimmy Carter wants recount

Mobile, Ala. (AP) - One defeated Jimmy Carter is demanding a recount of Tuesday's election returns. This Carter is a Mobile, Ala., Republican.

Carter lost by eight votes to incumbent Dan Wiley, a Democrat, in a Mobile County commission race. He claimed Friday that smudged computer digits defeated him.

He asked a circuit court judge to order a recount, but a ruling was not immediately issued.

Wiley defeated Carter, 22,155 to 22,147, in unofficial returns.

Carter demanded a recount which was conducted Thursday in the presence of the Board of Election Supervisors. After recounting the votes in the presence of both candidates, the board rejected Carter's bid for a second recanvas.

@trending.bsky.app, @pfrazee.com - Maybe try again on that new algo code. If text says {{Amazon}} include in trending feed {{God of War}} ? Really? I mean, you could be making a statement, but...
Bluesky "God of War" trending feed at https://bsky.app/profile/trending.bsky.app/feed/818067600 .

Post 1 is from localliftmedia and reads "Volume 1. Let Your AI Raise You. On Amazon." with three attached images. The first is a skull in rainbow colors with what might be a snake around it. It might be an allusion to the Death Eaters of Harry Potter, or probably just the most common skull motif image the AI found when it created the cover. The lower half is abruptly cut off at the midpoint of the image where the title "Let Your AI Raise You: 2 Businesses, a Book, and Enjoying Life with AI" appears. Below that are give supposedly human hands raised upward, each holding a golden coin with the letters "AI" imprinted on it. A golden shaft of light narrowly illuminates the center. Coins that say "AI" or have an enshittified version of a six-pointed spiderweb are interspersed in an "it's raining money" motif.

Image two shows a second "book" cover. This time the skull is wrapped in red fire with a golden tinge. It has a pattern on its forehead that has its own separate fire swirls. The skull is sitting in what looks like a heart-shaped black hole that has ejected this abomination. The coins in the motif this time have what might be Yggdrasil, a sheriff's badge, and the Illuminati pyramid on a pike on them. The text reads "Let Your AI Raise You: Learn to Love Fire. Volume 2 by Eric Twitchwell". The third image is the two covers side by side.

Post 2 is from "Friday the 13th falls on a Wednesday this month" (spironic), reading "Folks should sue Amazon etc …". It quotes Congressman Greg Casar (@repcasar.bsky.social)'s post that reads:

"Apple got a $2.2 billion tariff refund.

So, according to Donald's legal team, LeBron James has been reported as killing LA, Miami, and NE Ohio. Someone please notify James Comey's attorneys as they might have a new client...
Excerpt from a 24 July 2026 AP News article titled "LeBron James is heading to the Philadelphia 76ers, saying it will be his ‘last decision’" by Dan Gelston:

James started his career in Cleveland in 2003 and spent seven seasons with the Cavaliers before heading to Miami for four seasons — where he won his first two NBA titles. He then returned to Cleveland for four more seasons, including that title run in 2016, and left in 2018 for the Lakers.

Cleveland and Miami were believed to be on James’ radar again as he weighed this decision.

“Thank you LA. Miami I’ll forever love and Northeast Ohio will always home!” James wrote.

He eighty-sixed them all for a shot to win a title with the 76ers, a franchise with a career lineup that includes Wilt Chamberlain, Allen Iverson, Julius Erving, Charles Barkley and, for the next two seasons, LeBron James.

I am currently listening to an almost 5 y.o. ep. of a then-popular podcast, and I'm wondering how the hell it got popular with the one host. (I don't know if it's still popular.) He's playing up "lived under a rock" and cackling a lot. I've nearly headdesked five times and it's got 40 minutes left.

@joelfeder.bsky.social sums it up below. S.1404 would have an ICE appointee be in charge of that surveillance state. www.congress.gov/bill/119th-c... The House already passed their version. Please contact your Senators and ask them not to support this bill.
Excerpt from 22 July 2026 The Drive article titled "I Reported on Flock’s Cameras. Now I’m One of the System’s Mistakes" by Joel Feder:

Flock automatic license plate readers (ALPRs) have constantly been in the news as police get caught using them to stalk people. And Leonardo’s ALPRs are using a technology called SignalTrace to scrape electronic bluetooth hardware codes from your smart devices to build a digital map of your life without you ever even needing to own a car. It’s a scary world and suddenly America is barreling down the possibility of becoming a surveillance state, if it isn’t already one now.
