Dear BBC, 100 billion plus is a lot of money, but it is a long way short of the trillion pounds that Sophie Rayworth on the 6o'click news, just said was being spent. Someone is very bad at maths.

Whenever anyone says they're an alpha I assume they've written themselves into some sort of mpreg fan fiction and their username is something like Ima Tool. Which is fine, but I'm just saying. www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-ju...

Elon Musk whispered to his first wife, Justine, that he was 'the alpha in this relationship' at their wedding reception

Justine Musk said that Elon Musk told her to dye her hair blonder and that she felt like she was being turned into a trophy wife.

Googled four things today and instead of good results got AI summaries at the top. Every one of the summaries has been wrong, misleading and harmful.

You don't hear people invoking Godwin's Law any more because everyone loses when you were right because they are now far far right.

Several billionaires should be reminded that if the banks they have their money in don't have as much money as them, they do not have the money either. And if they invest in unconventional currencies they definitely don't have the money. None of that is real.

Planning to follow any Bluesky or YouTube of any USA creator who is still coming up on my FYP. Even if they can't see us I think it is important to still see them.

It's about 10 minutes to midnight and Tiktok Americans are still there. I see a lot of US content but just checked and only 4.4% of my audience is from there whereas on YouTube it's mostly USA. I hope we can still stay connected.

Spoiler for Doctor Who: The bit where he was trying to make Joy angry and he said only the saddest person would choose a hotel room that bad. I stayed at that very hotel (It's actually in Cardiff) in May and my room was worse and smaller so I felt personally affronted.

Emilia Perez is essentially The Great Gatsby. I have read things about how problematic it is, and it's hard to disagree, but it is entirely The Great Gatsby.

Watching Detective Pikachu. I was the UK editor of Pojo's Pokemon magazine back in the day and there are about a bajillion new Pokemon since then.

You can support the person and not particularly like their art. But if the person is a terrible person their art is tainted by that. If the art is supposedly great but the person is a POS then I'd rather ignore the art than support the person because of the art.

Watching The Holiday and wondered why I had never finished watching it before. Realised I switched it off the last time after two characters confidently agreed that Cary Grant was from Surrey.

Calling it Wicked: For Good makes me expect two more films before it and after Wicked. Wicked: Kiss Me Too Fiercely and Wicked: At Least I'm Flying Free, maybe. If you have a four you need a two and three.

YouTube informs me I can control what third party sites can use my content for AI training. Puzzled at who would actually let any company or entity use their content, especially as there is absolutely nothing in it for them. Thankfully the default is none.

I have seen a number of really weird air things in the sky in the last few weeks and have never once thought anything more than "That's a weird air thingy. Meh." Everything that ever happens is just another thing that happens. No point freaking out.

Commenting on other people's stuff is fraught. I do it to add to the conversation or to help their views on things but so many people resent any other commentary on their commentary. I just went to delete something because the person seemed unwilling to interact, but it was already deleted by them.

bsky.app/profile/geor... It's always so strange that the people who keep harping on about "biological reality" don't seem to know or understand the reality that some trans men can/do get pregnant. (This is not referring to George Takei, who is usually wise and reasonable.)

I don't have a Spotify wrapped because Spotify is unethical - but mostly because I spend so much time on Tiktok that the screen icons are burned into my phone. No time for anything else.

Top tip if you are a memory clinic: don't change the appointment time at the last minute and expect the patient to remember. It is insidious.

Was mildly intrigued about Doctor Odyssey but I don't think 2 characters pining over a third can really be a love triangle. To me, a triangle has to connect all three sides otherwise it's just an apex. And that's just a boring, standard rom com. Spellcheck changed sides to dudes. Also very valid.

Watching the Age of Adeline. I am not sure if looking a bit younger than 45 is a circumstance where you would be captured by the government and tested. Bit overdramatic. Wait until you are 60 or 70 to start questioning it. Has Mamie Van Doren had this problem? Anyway, this is a very dopey film.
