Chicago skies say Welcome Home

From the window seat of an airplane, you can see a slice of rainbow directly outside, coming from some puffy clouds above and disappearing into the wingtip of the plane. There's a bit of city to the right, and Lake Michigan to the left, of the wing.

so my partner and I have come up with Chopped Archetypes. one of them was named Joey Donuts (guy who likes Big Flavors, loves his family, has a Boston accent). and now, entering season 12, I discover that I have manifested this man into existence. he actually exists. what the heck

a still from an episode of Chopped. It shows an executive chef named Joe Rego with tan skin, dark hair, and a blue flannel shirt. The closed caption reads "You can call me Joe, Joey, or Joey Bag of Doughnuts."

did one of these for myself just to show how they turn out! and realizing I messed up that ear but WHATEVER I haven't drawn in so long! I'm having fun! please donate to Johnny's survival funds, it would mean a lot to me

A drawing in a cutesy style of a dog with big green eyes smiling at the camera. This dog is a black, white, and brown Jack Russell terrier with one pointy ear and one floppy ear, with a shock of rainbow hair. They are wearing a banana around their neck with the aro, ace, and pan flags on it.

please laugh with me (it is all I can do to not cry) at how badly the guy my landlord hired to "stain" our porch did before he gave up and left it for the landlord to come back and fix... and enjoy my alt text

Images of a wooden porch that looks as if an exuberant 3-year-old with a can of red spray paint was let loose to wreak havoc upon it. The boards of the railing are less than halfway covered in stain, but not in an even-handed, half-finished way that would indicate a degree of care was taken in the process to stop at a certain point due to lack of resources; no, dear reader, this was a sheer spray-and-pray operation. I am confused as to how this even happened.

An image showing how the stain was also applied to the side of the house, and the gutter, and the next door neighbor's fence too! 3 units stained for the price of one, what a bargain!

I made a base for a YCH style drawing to help raise funds for Johnny's ongoing survival funds! If you donate $10 or more to his ko-fi and send me a screencap I would be happy to edit this base to look like a character of yours and do a pride flag (or 2) on the bandana as well!

finally decorated my office corner! more to come, but feeling pretty happy with this arrangement for now.

3 paintings of characters from the video game Night in the Woods hang above a shadowbox shelf frame. The frame contains plastic standees of locations and characters from the same game, arranged in a cityscape. To the right is a spinner with constellations from the demo of Night in the Woods, currently set to Mundy, the World Fish.

The shelf and paintings described in the other photograph of this set, as well as two other small shelves in front of a computer monitor. One shelf contains a spider plant behind a printed bandana showing the constellations from the game Night in the Woods. The other shelf is displaying the box of the Collector's edition of the same game, a coin and card from that box, and individual figurines of Angus and Gregg.

I love keeping shrimp 😌 They are such chill little buddies to watch and I get so excited when I see babies in the tank.

a small blue pet shrimp sits on top of a cave in a fish tank. there are many other red shrimp around her in various locations, doing shrimpy things like eating and swimming.

I got a new tattoo last month of Simone the Fighter (from Night in the Woods) to celebrate transness, revolution, and being part of a community. I love this piece a lot. work by Avi at Evoke in Chicago.

a picture of a tattoo of Simone the Fighter from the video game Night in the Woods, on the chest of a white person with visible top surgery scars.

Simone the Fighter is a constellation of a reindeer in a long coat with a musket in its hands. Simone lived in a good land, but under every good land are the roots of oppression, and in this land those roots took hold and choked out all else. When the border closed and the curfew began, Simone and her comrades began to plot. They infiltrated, they sabotaged, and they freed prisoners. Simone was one of the first to be identified but she evaded capture even as the wanted posters went up. As whispers of her grew throughout the land more and more of her neighbors prayed in the night that Simone would be their salvation. We do not know where Simone is buried, but we do know that when things boiled over she lead a charge against the palace gates, and behind those gates were canons. Many years later, when the mass graves were exhumed, her bones were mixed with so many others it was said that she now lives on in the bones of all of her country.
