Yesterday, 21 January 2026, the Court of Appeals in Valletta upheld all three terrorism charges against the #ElHiblu3. The Court corrected a faulty technicality, allowing the charges to stand. These severe charges should have never been introduced in the first place. #DropTheCharges

Furthermore they are attacking that fact that the Attorney General is making reference to actions which are not attributable to them. The Attorney General argued against the defence's arguments. The courts decision is due on 29 July, 1pm.

On 27 March, it will be exactly 6 years since a group of 100 people were rescued by the #ElHiblu tanker that attempted to illegally return them to Libya. Thanks to the #ElHiblu3, that was prevented. Unfortunately, at the cost of Abdalla, Amara and Kaders freedom. The three remain in a legal limbo.
