A reminder for all of us this week: Many of those yelling the loudest on any give day are just looking for attention and love. Let's all try listening more. You are a beloved child of God now and always. So is that person being yelled at. And the one doing the yelling.
Cursive text in dark pink on a light background. It reads "Being heard is so close to being loved that for the average person, they are almost indistinguishable." David W. Augsburger. There is a logo in the bottom right which says Sacred Worth and has an image of a woman's profile surrounded by a pink and gold halo.

If anyone is interested, I’d love to tell you about how I incorporated Mister Rogers and Francois Clemons and sharing a pool into a Maundy Thursday service. 3/3
Francois Clemmons (Black man in a police officer uniform) and Fred Roger’s (white man in a shirt, tie and slacks), have their shoes and socks off and their pants rolled up to their knees. They are sitting next to each other in lawn chairs and have their feet in a kiddie pool outside. Officer Clemmons is adding water with a garden hose.

Just realized I didn’t share my Feb. reads here. And Then There Were None - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I’ve never read an Agatha Christie mystery before and wanted to try one. I enjoyed it even though it wasn’t what I expected. Pretty dark and strange. I can see how her work influenced lots of other mysteries. 1/3
Grid of the covers of the books I read in February:
And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
Sadie on a Plate by Amanda Elliot
Kiss the Girl by Zoraida Cordova

Now that February is almost over, I’m finally remembering to share my January reads. Holding the Calm - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Had to read for Clergy Connection Day. It was ok. Some good takeaways, but pretty repetitive. Didn’t feel very pastoral (which it isn’t supposed to, but was assigned to clergy). 1/4
Grid of the four books I read in January. Has the four covers. The books are Holding the Calm, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, Glory Be, and My Sister’s Big Fat Indian Wedding.

I bought these cookies partly out of spite. As I was looking at them, a woman came over and said, “Nobody needs that many cookies.” I said I have teenagers at home and more coming over to watch a football game on Saturday. “But no one needs all those cookies.“ So I bought them.
Tray of Costco Cookies. There are 5 rows of 12 cookies each. Chocolate chip, sugar with sprinkles, chocolate with powdered sugar, M&M, peanut butter.
