Anecdotally, I’m bummed they couldn’t find some silly excuse to bring back Lyon or Pagaga for Beastmaster in some way 🥲

I’m so thrilled that Bozja is featured heavily in the Mogtome event. Even dipping back in for 15min each week is a delight. It might not be for everyone, but I love my brown and grey warn-torn battlefield with old man yaoi very much <3

I’m still mad that only he could use Krile’s Plot Earring in a pivotal moment, and not Krile herself

🌘VOIDCALL🌒, part 1 (43 pages) is up on Patreon in full for patrons $5 & above. Ever since her days as a student, Y'shtola finds her gaze drawn to a tragic pattern. (Thancred/Y'shtola) While not explicit, this work is intended for mature audiences only. www.patreon.com/theyoungdoyl...

The cover for Voidcall. Y'shtola stares through a window made by her fingers.

A comic set sometime between 1.0 and ARR.
Y'shtola: Do... do you trust Thancred?
Y'shtola: Do you...
Y'shtola: ... feel safe with him?

Minfilia, whose hand had been upon Y'shtola's, gently encouraging, draws away.

A comic set something during 1.0 and ARR.
Minfilia, hand drawn to her chest: Why...

-the scene segues to Ryne circa Shadowbringers, still going by the name Minfilia.
Minfilia: ...why wouldn't I?
Y'shtola gazes down, expression as tired as it is unreadable.

And you’re totally fine! There’s a very big difference between a professional telling a fan “hey so it’s actually A not B” and said fan going “I see, thx!” Vs. someone plugging their ears going “nuh-uh”

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Most of them have 0 concept of what goes into animation production and it showssssssss lol

231

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

so many animation workers have had to endure randos telling us to “just go indie” for years now and in almost the same breath will spew this bs lmao

141

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

It pisses me off to no end. They’re all “Indie animation is the future” until it’s something they don’t like, and then it’s bandwagon harassment time. Pathetic

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

To answer the second part of this quoted question- I’ve had FFVI in my Steam library for eons and I sorely need to play it.

100

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

We had FF1 on the family NES. I was a hardcore gamer at 4yrs old, and would boot it up, run around the starting town, into the overworld, then get into a battle and be so scared and confused by the music that I was turn the whole console off.

150

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

I’m still gonna play the content cuz I am boo boo the fool and love my field operations! (I also want that platypus mount and still wanna try the first Forked Tower)

010

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

I don’t need everything lore-wise explained, I like when things are mysterious and left in the air! I was really interested in the mystery of the unknown city states, but the story itself was very much *not* interested in a “yeah these other city states exist but who cares, moving on” way

110

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

I didn’t expect expansive lore on Karnak or any of the other city states, but some little anecdotes like “the people of Skalla loved ska music” would’ve livened things up. Occult Crescent felt utterly uninterested in expanding on the world it’s set in

110

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

I finished the “story” of the OC last week and I’m so thoroughly bummed it had no interest really getting into the weeds of the fifth astral era Or anything for that matter

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Including the $25+ you’ll pay for shipping and loololol

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

He’s absolutely tough to draw but I think your effort paid off!!

010

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

I love this comic and love the way you draw Estinien!

100

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 03/08/2026

haha remember when I would “draw” “pictures”?

030

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

My issue is never “math boss exists”, it’s more the players that imply that people who genuinely struggle solving a numbers puzzle on the fly are “stupid”

010

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

“FFXIV players can’t do math” is a fine, funny, haha joke, but please keep in mind that some players have learning disabilities

110

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

My dyscalculia-induced math anxiety is screaming at that math boss in North Horn

Happy birthday!! Once you hit your 30’s, it’s no different than 29, just with a higher risk of knee problems haha

000

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

I’d rather have Occult Crescent over nothing at all, but it’s still a bummer to wait an entire expansion cycle for field operations to return only for it to lack the secret sauce Bozja and Eureka had

000

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 30/07/2026

I’m enjoying the North Horn right now, but I can already tell it’ll be just like the South Horn- I’m really into it for a week or so and then my interest completely wanes.

100

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 26/07/2026

suddenly remembered my glorious Ylva AMV I made in iMovie in like 2022

041

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

I’ll hold out hope that maybe the 8-man will be more like the Eden raids; clearly inspired by FFVIII, but still ingrained enough in the world with original characters, etc

020

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

if I had one gripe, I like the idea of both the 8-man and alliance raids individually, but together it just means less room to expand on the world of the expansion. Crossovers are great in moderation, but I love what Pandaemonium did for the worldbuilding, for example

🌼 ylva 🌼 @elfblogger.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

The Moody Blues are great ofc, and I’ve been really digging Renaissance too! I have also been really getting into “Krautrock”, which was a sort of West German offshoot of the genre. The band ‘Can’ has some bangers for sure

I’m not in a great place financially these days, which means I’m only allowing myself *one* of the upcoming XIV nendos, and it’s a heartbreakingly difficult choice (but I’m leaning towards Haurchefant ofc)

"fiction normalizes—" idk abt any of that but I think social media has normalized absolutely batshit behavior and social conventions that are inconceivable to anyone that is actually well-balanced and thriving in the real world and that's a bigger problem than fiction will ever be
