Yes, people have to lower our emissions as we can... But the government needs to invest in green energy and in electrification and in incentives for ditching fossil fuels. And they need to regulate businesses to ensure businesses don't just start burning more as we try to switch.

I was kind of thinking the same. The feeling of "I had to give up happiness and satisfaction to survive so that's how it must be for everyone" is really strong in a lot of people. Capitalism trains us to see others' success as a threat.

Here's where the problem comes in. There are a lot of really ignorant people in Canada who hear the good things Carney SAYS and just assume his actions are accomplishing the things he says. But if you really look at his actions... they are very much not accomplishing what he says.

Yes, forced arbitration. It's a common practice and it sucks ass. Forced arbitration ALWAYS favours the company. Literally 100% of the time. Workers always come out with shitty deals post-arbitration. It basically removes the ability for workers to get a good deal entirely.

The bill allows the government to stop a strike with no justification because it proposes such a broad qualification as 'impact Canadian economy' which has essentially no qualifications. So it basically means federal workers can't strike unless Carney is okay with it.
