His breakdown was satisfying to watch. The show had been dropping hints since episode 1 with his tendency to fall into fugue states, his God complex, his temper tantrums when frustrated, Zooble warning that the only reason he doesn't harm anyone is because he wants them to like him. Good stuff.

Rogue Trader, BG3, and games with turn based combat tend to follow action economy, i.e. whoever takes more actions wins. The 'Officer' class in Rogue Trader that supports/buffs, including giving allies extra turns, is very strong for that reason. Also bring waifus. They're all pretty good imo

Totally reasonable. As far as TV/movie adaptations, I think they are usually done by British companies on a budget of a cup of tea and a shoelace so they are definitely hit or miss visually. There are some quality moments and actors there though.

Impressive that the sprinkles are "imperfect". Some are shorter or just little bits and pieces. Some are more curvy. Did you have to render a bunch of individual sprinkles and then use some kind of tool to scatter them over the donut and randomize the colors??

That's fair. It's a very simple story in the end. I think a decent chunk of its success is people being pleasantly surprised by how 'not bad' it was. Original IP, female protag, set in 'foreign' culture, good art direction/animation, clearly had some talent/passion working on a very silly premise.

Hearing this just makes me appreciate the fact they really broke the mold with DAO. The 'tactical control' or whatever it was called turned off a lot of people, but I loved it. With streamlining, there was a deep, satisfying combat system there but instead it got more generic and simple over time.
