my dragon's dogma 2 arisen and pawn were based off of my dungeon world ranger and, uhm, his animal companion cat. i have since been comedically obsessed with bels the bloodthirsty catgirl

i gotta quit my day job so i can pursue my glorious dream of drawing every dragon's dogma pawn i travel with

oh my god it's almost dd2 expansion time already?? fuccckkk opens my calendar and deletes several events to replace them with "high-five pawns"

"stellar combustor" would be a sick cocktail name imo. it somehow involves a lot of pocari sweat ?

130

elemei @elemei.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

halfway thru the stellar combustor poster i was like aw shit i've pretty much done this exact same comp before in "we called for confidence alive" (bsky.app/profile/elem...) but you know what. let's embrace it. i call it hitting the "desperate despairing trying to save the world slouch, with halo"

elemei @elemei.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

thus the arrest at the end of the arc

080

elemei @elemei.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

(not drawing any of the mechs or spaceships or anything) yeahh i can totally do sci-fi don't worry about it

0110

elemei @elemei.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

My concept for this was "poster for the Stellar Combustor arc of the Palisade animated series that exists in my mind." In an ideal world I would also do one for the other side aka Chimera's Lantern, but it took me so very long to get around to just doing this one. :'^)

I'm soooo excited for the 2nd Edition of Good Society: A Jane Austen RPG, and also really pleased to be contributing more artwork to one of my favorite games! kck.st/4iW6ezX

when you're at the "i'm so close i can taste it" part of finishing a project and by "close" and "taste" you mean you can get a whiff of the bbq presumably happening somewhere in your immediate neighborhood but you're not sure in what direction and it's about to storm and you've lost your glasses

not that this is generally advisable and i definitely don't do this much at all, but rip to the hand/arm positions i drew, liked, and then scrapped not once but twice because it didn't feel right for the page :'^)

i've been taking melatonin lately and fortunately don't seem to be getting nightmare-tier dreams from it, unless you count this morning's where i tried to convince my good friend sheev palpatine to print new coinage with his noble visage on one side and a heart ❤️ on the other

So here’s the deal. I’m being made redundant from my day job, which I don’t mention often here because I don’t like crossing the streams of music me and day job me all that much. I’ve got a little runway but if you’ve got projects coming up soon it would be an ideal time to talk.

i think i don't frequent those spaces enough (or afaik know anyone who does) to form an organic connection, but ur absolutely right that it couldn't hurt to reach out regardless! i will put it on my to-do list 😤

oh that's fun that you've designed multiple pieces with puzzles in mind! i have made only one illustration so far that i intentionally made to be a (and turned into a single gift) puzzle

110

elemei @elemei.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

obviously it would be cool to do an art book/booklet one day but that seems like something i would have to initiate/wrangle and i so deeply do not want to have to handle physical distribution ever :'^)

elemei @elemei.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

yes these are entirely selfishly motivated -(partner likes puzzles) -(i use stickers a lot in my planner/journal) -(we always put up an apartment calendar on the fridge for schedule coordinating) -(this is the best part of browsing the liquor store)

i don't really have dream clients but some dream projects/objects that i would like to contribute to someday: -1000+ piece puzzle -stationery sticker sheet -calendar -cider can or wine bottle label

(well, technically it was relistening to some later parts of hieron to supplement why rj was in the design.) i have more thoughts than that little comic i made in 2020 and maybe i will be able to cohere them one day, or maybe not, but like many parts of marielda/hieron they still haunt me regardless

0110

elemei @elemei.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

a truth that no one asked for about the marielda vinyl project (the first version of it that became the t-shirt) is that relistening to marielda for it is what made me start thinking about red jack/samothes
