I think all I will say is that if you have a colleague who has been upset by something a certain directory has published, reach out to them, buy them a coffee or something and be there in the way that only people in our profession who understand its high, lows and peculiarities can be #supportiveBar

The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, a music legend and titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library program has earned multiple Library Literacy Awards and, in 2018, she visited us to donate its 100 millionth book to our collection and host a story time. 🦋❤️

Dreadful news that we have lost wonderful Dolly Parton. What a lady. One of a kind. Enjoyed seeing her show with @tuckkc.bsky.social and Nadia Motraghi KC and I know they share my sadness at her passing. Her book initiative alone tells you everything you need to know. A life well lived. Rest easy 🙏🏾

🐾 We were fortunate to have Paws in Work join us last week for some summer puppy therapy. Staff, members and their children enjoyed a day with this beautiful litter of mini poodles. Thanks so much to the Paws in Work team who were excellent as always.

Black Rod has been admitted after the three knocks. Symbolic ritual to signify the independence of the House of Commons. Much of what we on Law Reform Committee will be doing later this year depends on the changes the King's Speech may (or may not) herald.

Sir David Attenborough… on your 100th birthday, we thank you. For a lifetime dedicated to the natural world, and for sharing its story with such grace and wonder. Generations have fallen in love with nature because of you. Happy birthday, Sir. 🎉

This photograph captures Sir David Attenborough seated outdoors on the rugged terrain of Skomer Island. Behind him, the ocean and coastal cliffs form a scenic backdrop under a clear sky. Sir David, dressed in a khaki jacket and light trousers, looks towards the camera with a gentle expression, exuding a sense of warmth, calm, and wisdom. Around him, puffins can be seen flying and perched on the rocky ground, illuminated in rays of golden sunlight as the sun sets behind the cliffs.

Happy World Theatre Day! Blown away by Sedos’ production of Next to Normal at the Bridewell last night - not many rock musicals out there about mental health. To get the rights so soon after the West End was very lucky. Sensational cast and crew and inspired direction. A little biased of course 😉
