and i deleted the tiktok app from my phone after seeing an ad for literal rape porn. google is also incredibly evil so youtube sucks too and so does twitch. at some point as a content creator my options all fucking suck

yeah, the moderation there is absolutely fucked and it's why i deleted in the first place. as an artist i don't post anything but shitty doodles bc it's all gonna be ground up and fed to the AI. it's a horrible platform. but like, so is every other platform now :| twitter is basically 4chan

yeah, i feel like, maybe the general audience i target is just not really here. threads/ig seems chock full of millennial gamer types and bsky seems more art/gamedev but i don't upload art to the internet anymore and im super hobby level gamedev...

It sucks because Twitch, although owned by amazon, is not amazon, and is subject to the whims of amazon regardless of how sound the decisions are. Twitch is just all around a more moderated and friendly space than the alternatives, youtube/tiktok/meta/kick all just fucking suck as platforms

i am completely disgusted with amazon and i'm actively working on diversifying my content creation and support method s that don't involve amazon. i'm settling on fourthwall for donos/direct subs, and multi streaming to youtube to try and get monetized there as well
