Yesterday, I ended up spending the whole stream only doing a single demo, namely the one for The Wolf Is Dead, which is a demo I genuinely recommend everyone who is into detection and investigation check out. As a self-contained mystery that prepares you for the full game, it's very clever!

I grew up on everything James Bond. From watching the films countless times at much too young an age, to late evenings playing Nightfire with friends, and even having my mother read me the novelization of Die Another Day, I was pretty much a little Bond nerd.

The search for an at least passable Poirot game continues! The First Cases wasn't working out, so this evening we try something based on one of the actual novels. I don't believe I ever read The ABC Murders, and it has been years since I saw the TV episode, so this will be a fresh look!

011

Electric Sandals @electricsandals.bsky.social · 22/11/2025

I had planned to give the Poirot game a third chance today, but I'm just not having fun with it. Paired with viewer protests at the mere mention of the game, I have decided to shelve it, at least for now. This leaves today's stream wide open. So I'm live in 30 minutes or so with... something.

000

Electric Sandals @electricsandals.bsky.social · 17/11/2025

A substantial part of my gateway to the murder mystery genre involves, unsurprisingly I'm sure, a certain little Belgian. This evening's stream will be my first look at Hercule Poirot's foray into the video game world. Surely, that cannot go wrong in any way?

Electric Sandals @electricsandals.bsky.social · 16/11/2025

Having finished this yesterday, I am somewhat surprised to say that Lord Winklebottom Investigates has been one of my favourite gaming experiences this year. Stylish, sharply written, and outrageously funny, I'd say it's one of the best 5-hour adventures money can buy.
