As far as I can tell, the rule for people contacting you for keys to play your game is, if they ask for more than 1, it's a scam. If they ask for 1, it's a scam. If you reach out to them and offer a key, they want money to take it. The entire key ecosystem is divorced from its original purpose.

Despite working on the Epic Games Store for over 4 years, I cannot work out how to update the release date for our game on our game's page without actually releasing the game.

If it helps, my son is almost 7 and can play it. At that age, it's basically Uno, and holding 23 cards is difficult when your hands are tiny.

There are almost no good boardgames to play with young children. Minecraft Explorers is one of the better ones. Bonus points for being a pack of cards that come in a small box. This is probably a little late to come as a useful recommendation for a Christmas present

Leo Tan @electricleo.bsky.social · 19/12/2025

I realise why you can't put something like Battlefield in here, but that is the same reason you shouldn't be putting any Mario Kart in here, let alone the second worst game in the series after Double Dash.

Leo Tan @electricleo.bsky.social · 19/12/2025

Donkey Kong AND Mario Kart?! C'mon. They were both low points for Nintendo in their own way.

Police are on the lookout for a sophisticated, accomplished criminal, an expert at hiding in plain sight among us. If you see this man, please call 999 immediately.

I am so grateful VGIM put Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World and Civ 7 as some of their stand out games of the last year. I am subscribed to too many industry newsletters, and I couldn't decide which one needed to be cut.

It might be perfect. And I don’t say that lightly. Even VF4 Evo was not perfect. Even Super Monkey Ball was not perfect THOUGH YOUR LIGHT STILL SHINES BRIGHT MY LORD.

Where other survival games ask “ok, you want that thing, you must grind now to get a portion of the way there” Core Keeper says “HAVE A ROCKET LAUNCHER! Oh btw, it blasts through rock. Here’s a pet that kills numpties so you don’t have to. Now go fight a Sky Titan.”

Leo Tan @electricleo.bsky.social · 02/12/2025

Core Keeper is the absolute pinnacle of survival crafting games. Or, perhaps more accurately stated, it’s the perfect distillation of mechanics I’m familiar with from Minecraft, executed perfectly, with joy turned to max.

Now that the anger has subsided and I’ve come to terms with this new Liquid Glass UI, and how naff my once pristine phone is now, I’m really just in awe at the person who got this through what I presume is an insanely rigorous, top heavy approvals process at Apple. The fucking balls on them.

Leo Tan @electricleo.bsky.social · 21/11/2025

Shout out to @davidnsteer.bsky.social for helping me realise Apple is just helping me use my phone less by making it unenjoyable to perform even basic functions. No further feedback.

I wouldn’t have guessed that a redesign of the aesthetic of the iPhone interface is what makes me look at Android seriously, but here we are. It will basically depend on if I can transfer my Puzzle and Dragons save.

You cannot be in both camps, Andy! You have to pick a side! This is like werewolves vs vampires.

Lunchtime climbing is the shit. In and out in an hour. Knackered. Since I started, my sciatica has disappeared, even though when I'm not climbing, I'm basically at my desk. I thought it was a stretching thing, but it turns out it was a strength thing.

It's obviously a highland coo or a wee dancer. Or anything pure magic.

Leo Tan @electricleo.bsky.social · 10/11/2025

He has a Japanese skin, a Mexican skin, a pizza oven skin (not even a deep fryer), and no actually Scottish skin. C'mon. There's so many available options. Right at the top of the my list - a wee dancer.

Leo Tan @electricleo.bsky.social · 10/11/2025

Playing Ash in Brawl Stars and feel simultaneously so seen and so offended at the same time. Any character that opens up a battle shouting "I'm so manky!" is an immediate main for any self-respecting Scot.

Did you play any split screen? I still play the first one, almost exclusively split screen, and performance is pretty dire on Switch 1. Switch 2 still struggles a bit when the screen fills up :(

You don't really know that we only have one life to live. What if you have to relive this horror over and over, in many lives across many universes, each one presenting a new camera default that you hate, but everyone else inexplicably finds fine? What have you done to deserve this fate?

My stories from the UK side include opening for Guns N Roses, and murdering (in a bad way) Warpigs in front of Tommy Iommi. We should write a book.
