So I've been away from Linux for a while... last night I decided to play around with PopOS and their Cosmic Desktop. I'm super impressed with it, not just for an alpha, but in general. #linux #popos

So, on Dec 28th, I had the KLR back on deep, sandy Florida 2-track, when the front end washed out. It wasn't the first time the KLR has hit the ground, but it was the first time that I decided to break its fall with my leg and ankle.

My wife got me a signed post card from a favorite comedy musician, with a favorite line, from one of my very favorite songs. I think it’s my favorite thing this Christmas! That’s a lot of favorites 😂 #bughunter #music #jammechanics

A signed post card from Bug Hunter, that reads “In the rough draft she loved you.”

I’m not 100% pleased with these, but I’m a little bit pleased with them. Just grinding out some Elphaba hat Christmas ornaments for friends and family. #wicked #polymerclay

In the winter, I sometimes stay inside and make things from #polymerclay This little fellow was the first thing I ever made, from a couple years back.

So this will be in May. 800 miles of mixed surface riding in 2-days, from the FL-GA line to the Everglades. I can’t wait! www.dixiedualsport.com/floridatrave... #motorcycle #dualsport #adventuremotorcycle #floridatraverse

In the late 80’s and early 90’s I read a lot of comics. We’re going through some of my old stash at my moms this weekend and stumbled across this beauty. This is probably my favorite storyline of any comic series. #comics #marvel #daredevil

No motorcycle riding for me this weekend. Between seeing Wicked, leveling a Druid on the new WoW Classic server launch, an Orlando Informer Meetup at Universal Studios, and attending IAAPA on Friday… I had a ton of fun. I need a weekend from my weekend 😂 #wowclassic #wicked #orlandoinformer

What I’m doing today. My wife has some peripheral involvement with the attractions industry, so I find myself going to their Expo in Orlando today. I’m thinking it’ll be fun! #iaapa www.iaapa.org

Last night I pulled my trusty Dell G7 out of the closet and reinstalled Windows on it. It had MX Linux installed, last ran in Dec of 2022. I then installed WoW Classic. I guess I’ll return to Azeroth for a little bit, with the new Classic Fresh servers launching today.

A friend took this while we were at Tomahawk Lake, in the Ocala National Forest. He put me through my paces that day, with me trying to keep up with the Honda. Good times though!

“Bluesky is an echo chamber!” Our Reply: Echo chamber? Nah, we prefer to call it surround sound for facts.

Man, it’s hard to believe that WoW is 20 years old. I had some good times playing it, back in the day.

A photo that friend of mine took last weekend while we were on an adventure ride in the Ocala National Forest. His Africa Twin is in the lead, with the mighty KLR bringing up the rear. In the background is Hopkins Prairie.

This is the windscreen of my Gen 3 KLR 650. I’ve wanted a KLR since I first saw one in 1990 and I finally got around to adding one to the stable a little over a year ago. She’s not glamorous but we go places and we do things. Dirty things.

Summer of ‘89 I was on my 750 Kawasaki, doing 70+ on a road that intersected two lakes in North Dakota, when I got hit square in the faceshield by a duck. A mallard, judging from the feathers stuck between the shield and helmet.

I listed my Royal Enfield Classic 350 for sale about a week ago. It was a great bike, but my interest now lie more toward adventure riding these days, so it was just sitting and collecting dust.

I’m new here, and I guess I should make an introductory post. I’m Matt, and I live in Ocala, Florida with my wife, three cats and a dog. My hobbies are reading Warhammer and Horus Heresy books, listening to story driven podcasts, and motorcycles. #warhammer #horusheresy #motorcycles #florida

There’s a place in Florida called “The Old Brick Road”.
It’s best seen from the seat of an adventure bike… in my case, the venerable KLR 650 www.atlasobscura.com/places/the-o...
#motorcycle #motorcycles #florida
