Yeah, that is true... I assume that's a bit helped by just having a massive base, odds are a percentage will see it, interact, then people on algo feeds will see it and do the same. Kinda a general "Things are easier if you have a following equal to the population of Lichtenstein" sort of deal.

Theres a culture thats been formed where games have a few weeks, maybe a month until they drop out of the zeitgeist and no longer exist. And games are designed for player retention. So how to combat the fact games disappear from public consciousness after 3 weeks? Make them long. Longer. Longest.

This is making games with massive content bloat make sense to me... There's such a culture of finishing games meant to last the average person a month or more as soon as possible, even if it requires a detrimental 140 hour sprint that makes you hate the game...
