This is the #GTA6 "Collector's Edition". Comes in a box, and has about £50 of cheap tat in it plus a pair of Oakley sunglasses. It has a price of **£400** And the kicker? ***There's no copy of GTA6 included with it*** That's right, £400 for a "Collector's Edition" with NO GAME. WTAF?

So Fedica should still work with the new GTS account, so I've removed the old Mastodon instance address as it's now just a redirect. Looking forward to GTS incorporating the likes of media cards, quote posts etc, but as long as I'm not murdering my VPS resources anymore then I'll be happy! 😄

And after a slow start last week, this reset has seen me pick up the pace a bit better in Midnight Season 2! And it's been a season or two, but I finally got a few global Rank 1 kills again, this time on Normal Mode Nymrissa and the final boss, Ula'tek! AotC should come Monday! #WorldOfWarcraft

Screenshot of my Normal mode kills at the start of week 2 of Season 2 of Midnight: 99% parses for all bosses except 3: a 97, 98 and a 100% parse, averaging 99.3% overall.

Screenshot of my Heroic mode kills at the start of week 2 of Season 2 of Midnight: 5 bosses with orange parses ranging from 96% to 99%, and an overall average of 89.4%

Got the Fabled achievement done for Azta'rec yesterday afternoon. Fun fight, but the only hard part was the memory game. Thankfully the Az Helper addon helped my ADHD-riddled brain cope with that. After that it was all about downing the intermission add in time. At least it was pet-tankable! #WoW

I've decided to go for a Haaland-free #FPL team this season. Big risk, but that price difference up to Haaland means at least £6-7.5m that improves the rest of the squad immensely. £15.5m for 1 player is just way too much, esp if he blanks consistently. Far better to improve the whole squad IMO!

She developed it based on her own doctoral thesis, and founded the startup called Amnova Biotech in 2024. Just because she's young and attractive doesn't mean she's not smart, capable and driven. Kinda sexist tbh.

Quick warning for other Arch Linux users - the AUR is under attack, AGAIN. More packages have been infected. They've since been deleted and the AUR is now locked for submissions until security can be tightened. Reports of the affected packages can be found here: lists.archlinux.org/... #AUR #Arch

So I'll be maining her from now on, as she should have not only higher damage but much improved survivability thanks to a proper tank pet (my mech) and constant heals and barriers. Needs to be played in melee alongside my Mech, but it's a fun rotation and the Mech looks great. #GuildWars2

Sar @elderlogs.net · 15/07/2026

So I think I've changed mains in #GW2 after a month on the Ranger. At best I was getting 13-14k dps with Longbow, and about the same with the Greatsword. So today I rolled up a Mechanist Engineer, gathered enough Hero Points to fill the tree and got some gear. Result? Easier rotation and 27k DPS!

And finally, after a full grind for well over a week, the work is done. I have finally unlocked my very own Skyscale in #GuildWars2 :D NOW I can start in on Living World Season 1 and onwards! :)

010

Sar @elderlogs.net · 07/07/2026

I started playing #GW2 exactly one month ago, and I've already pumped 100 hours into it! That's an average of 25hrs per week! That's nearly as many hours as I work in a week 😂 Yeah I'm definitely enjoying it 😄 Onto the collections part of my Skyscale mount journey now... #GuildWars2

And exactly 2 weeks after I started playing, I'm now max level in #GuildWars2 😁 Time to start looking into endgame systems, and gearing up! Also, to think about which profession to look at next, maybe a Necromancer? But glad I can start picking up other mounts and explore everywhere now! 😍

120

Sar @elderlogs.net · 19/06/2026

I'm the same. I've no idea if I'll even still play the game at all once I retire from raiding. Maybe casually, for a few months at the start of every patch or two, just to keep my toes in the pool and keep up with the story. I've at least 3 more Cutting Edges to get before that day comes though! 😉

010

Sar @elderlogs.net · 19/06/2026

Midnight has turned out to be... yeah. Not terrible, or even just meh. It has its good points, but it's been bang average for me so far. I've got a sight on the distant horizon where I finally retire from raiding, which is the first I've been able to spy it from where I stand. Not just yet tho :)

With every other form of social media becoming increasingly beholden to political interests and coercion, the one form that the masses rejected looks like being the only one that is truly free of all that noise: Mastodon. Ever picked an email provider? You can use Mastodon.

giants-club.net

Look, just fucking use Mastodon already

A short, unnecessarily profane rant about modern social media, not really serious but not really a joke, either. With apologies to McSweeney’s.

And at long last, the work is done... Mythic L'ura is dead, and Midnight has Fallen! Toughest boss in a long while, and everything after this on re-clears now should be a doddle! Just to farm for the mounts now... :) #WorldOfWarcraft #Midnight

So we went to see He-Man today, and I have to say we both came out of it saying we'd loved it. Funnier than I expected, and both pays homage to the series whilst acknowledging (and explaining) some of the more absurd aspects of the series (Fisto! Ram-Man!). Jared Leto as Skeletor was the star tho.

000

Sar @elderlogs.net · 13/06/2026

Definitely! I'd watched S1 when it came out in 2023, then promptly forgot about it until a few weeks ago, then binge-watched all of S2 in a day or two. So I'm looking forward to S3 tonight/tomorrow! 😁

010

Sar @elderlogs.net · 13/06/2026

Yep! Only got caught up with S2 a couple of weeks back, so this is great timing for me! 😆

110

Sar @elderlogs.net · 13/06/2026

Yep, premieres tonight 😄

Sar @elderlogs.net · 13/06/2026

Up to level 35 or so now in #GuildWars2, and fitting in some levelling and exploring when I can. Off shortly to see He-Man, which looks like a fun time! :)

Sar @elderlogs.net · 10/06/2026

We finally got to Phase 4 of Mythic L'ura! One of the most difficult end-bosses in memory, this has been a helluva slog. But the end is now in sight, and we just need to get back to P4 again next raid night with more people alive and we should have a kill! #WorldOfWarcraft

And there it is, the reason for this whole nonsense this morning from Kier Starmer - totalitarian state surveillance dressed up as "Won't somebody think of the kids". And forcing "Big tech" to implement it within 90 days or else. Clueless and shameless. 2/2

020

Sar @elderlogs.net · 08/06/2026

"If the companies do not act within three months, the government will bring forward legislation to force them to activate blocking technology, it says" "Those over 18 would still be able to take, share or view nude content through an age verification process, it says" Well... 1/2

110

Sar @elderlogs.net · 08/06/2026

"Starmer says today he is calling on tech companies operating in the UK to introduce device controls that prevent children from sending and receiving explicit images." I would love to know how, without scanning ALL images on ALL devices, and not breaking E2EE on ALL devices to scan ALL messages...

020

Sar @elderlogs.net · 08/06/2026

Part of Keir's speech about tech regulations today: "But now that [shut down] factory is being transformed into a new AI data centre[...]. "Young people can look at that site and see not what their community used to be but what it can become," he says." Sounds more like a threat...

010

Sar @elderlogs.net · 08/06/2026

This entire speech (and approach) just shows how incredibly out of step and touch with general public sentiment Old Kid Starver is...

Starmer says tech firms must stop children sending and receiving explicit images or face new laws
