The entire game is based on strategic positioning! So playing a rat on a cheese tile comes with a great trade off - you may miss other buffs, you may deal less damage overall, and you may even kill other units!

It's a fairly well-paced roll out. You'll unlock unit, passive, spell, unit, passive, spell, etc. You choose which commander to level. Big synergies will be possible by unlocking new commanders and abilities!

Rats are just very low damage units (they deal 1). Typically it's an enemy curse, however, with the right build, you may find yourself trying to create rats... The Rat Monger generates a single rat tile, which converts any unit that stays in it, but also buffs all rats!

Ever thought "gee, these units suck, I wish they could just be rats"? Boy are you going to love the Rat Monger! He spawns curse tiles which turn your units into rats, BUT, he also buffs all rats! Rat builds incoming? Coming to the demo soon! #indiedev #gamedev #pixelart

There are several mechanics with the mini games (not shown here), but also the press-your-luck element of rerolling the board, the board rng in general, the slot machine bonuses to combat abilities, etc.
