I have seen so many folk advise that you should "just keep writing - anything" My process is to keep letting my mind wander and grab the phrases as they occur.

sitting here feeling very out of it. I have done a few short stories, but my main work atm is a social history book, concentrating on recreational archery in its early days. Since I cannot get out to libraries I am finding researching those last few things I need very difficult.

Could nature itself hold the solution to climate change?
Technological interventions face huge financial or practical challenges. Why not embrace the Earth’s feedback loops?

yes I got cut off mid paragraph. Queenie had more competition & the Round was longer & more difficult. & although we know her scores, those in the USA were not recorded

The next Olympics in 1908 there were again only ladies from the host country, although rather more of them (25) and here the oldest winner of the individual Gold medal was also not young - she was 53 year old Queenie Newell

She was remarkable for her age - although very little of the event is properly recorded (her score for instance) and the only team was her (US) club - so they were bound to win.

Could nature itself be part of the solution to climate change? I found this article and thought it made a really good case — quite well supported by evidence and a bit more hopeful than usual. Well worth a read www.theguardian.com/books/2026/m... #NatureRecovery #ClimateChange #Environment

True there are lots of nasty folk, but I question whether they are in the majority. What we have is many folk badly affected by the world they have to live in. We should be sorry for them & help where & if we can. Global Compassion Coalition. A smile & good morning may help more than you realise

Work towards the whole stance feeling right rather than fixating on separate bits, don't worry, it will come. Called body awareness. At home make yourself a 'jelly bow- long lathe &string & use it to practice correct posture. You can hold it for ages, & it does not matter if you let go.

whoever is teaching you is at fault if you hit your arm. You should be taught to roll your elbow out, until if you were to bend it, it would bend sideways, not up and down,

How do you define classical? I always thought of it as in the past. is there a definition of 'modern classical'?

Indeed. The appalling conditions in which the poor animals are kept makes this something that producers do. I would seriously advise you avoid that type and go (if you can) for locally pasture raised and finished meat.

Oh you have found the best possible thing to do. Although you may need to wear gloves for some activities, do try to use your bare hands in the soil as much as you can, as that has real, proven benefits. Plus you will find that contact with other gardeners is extremely pleasant.

Nothing is that simple. It would however be one of the many useful steps to be taken - as well as tackling the numerous hideous methane leaks, the methane from human waste, and the melting permafrost. Sadly some folk have latched onto cattle as something we should actually get rid of.
