It’s been A Week, but I was able to get close on a video I’ve been working on. I showed it to my boss and he complimented transitions, but he was silent for so long after it ended that I thought he was framing everything wrong. Then he said “I think I hired a video editor” and gave me a fist bump 😄

Just got home from the emergency vet because my little kitty had been coughing and panting/rapid breathing and acting off since last night. Chest x-rays showed a lot of inflammation which the vet thinks could be allergies or asthma, so we’re trying a course of steroids.

I’ve created a little terrorist who demands every day that I open the shower door and curtain so she can look out the window. And if I don’t also open the window so she can hear and smell everything, she’ll paw at the opening.

Woke up to my neighbor’s smoke alarm going off at 4am (who’s out of town), called Fire dept who checked it out, got back to sleep around 7, and just now found the third ant infestation in a week that not only got into the cat’s food again but also my berry turnovers. CAN I CATCH A FUCKING BREAK.

In the Azores the younger generation all smokes/vapes and tans and stays out all night, so everyone there thinks I’m a good 15-20 years younger than I actually am (a distant relative thought I was 19, and a woman said “this child?” when my mom told her how old I was).

Side note: when I got diagnosed, they ran the whole neurodivergent test (I suspected OCD, was wondering about ADHD). The Dr. thought there might be some autism but said at the end, “You’re not autistic, you just hate small talk.”

Pictures don’t even work. The road is blocked off next to the bus stop where I work and a guy didn’t know what to do or where to go. And I had to point to the 24x36” sign literally right next to him that said “the bus stop is now in [other] parking lot” with a map showing how to get there.
