Hilarious and an strangely accurate. Also a visual pun that I didn't expect (red star as logo for Texaco & Kremlin).

A detail of the editorial cartoon showing a gas station sign with a red star and a caricature of Putin in the middle.

This may help: "Within the wider landscape of Arthurian programming on British airwaves, Passings stands out for its somber, reflective tone, shifting away from standard adventure elements toward psychological depth. It is officially documented in Roger Simpson's comprehensive historical survey"

Also it's like Monty Python director/animator Terry Gilliam's brilliant film about surveillance society, fascism & the cult of plastic surgery in a dystopian society, "Brazil" released in 1985 (Katherine Helmond as Mrs. Ida Lowry) includes Robert De Niro, Jonathan Pryce, Michael Palin, Bob Hoskins.

Female character played by Katherine Helmond in a plastic surgeon's office as he stretches the skin on her face.

Tippi came to mind lately, after seeing the assistant to the president, Natalie Harp, also known as the "human printer" due to her role in printing out the media he consumes daily. She is featured in the new book "Regime Change."

"The case is not, in any serious sense, about three judges’ credit cards or frozen accounts. It is about whether a government can convert sanctions into a tool of intimidation and coercion, using economic power to circumvent international law and pressure the international court itself."

"The ICC was created to deny heads of state, ministers, commanders, and militia leaders the comfort of impunity. Its purpose is to make clear that official power does not place a person beyond legal judgment. Personal sanctions on its judges move in the opposite direction. They attach a warning to the act of judging the powerful and criminal, rule against the wrong state, or authorize the wrong investigation, and the machinery used against criminals may be turned against the court itself."

I recommend the very entertaining Karel Zeman Museum in Prague, where you can see how heavily Zeman's work influenced Terry Gilliam, both Gilliam's animations for Monty Python and his films.

It avoided becoming Belarus.

But that sulking Caesar, POTUS—where’s he gone?

Is he watching Fox News with a big frown on?

We’ll seize the cycle. We’ll make allegations.

From "Dickens knitting in code" by Paul Curzon: cs4fn.blog/2022/06/02/d...

In A Tale of Two Cities, Dickens describes his character, Madame DeFarge, as she creates a coded list of those executed in the French Revolution in her knitting: "Knitted, in her own stitches and her own symbols, it will always be as plain to her as the sun."

I see no poll like this on the YouGov website. I suggest you post a link to the actual survey information. Found this image (but source not verified) of YouGov poll results from 2/2-2/4 for a general question about opinion of 16 names, many not political figures.
