Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Meta. Do: Build monopoly power by locking people in. Manipulate people into destructive consumerism through psychological addiction. Use some proceeds to bribe politicians to make sure you are not constrained in any way so you can: Loop.

Manager: "Can you post about the 50% off travel with a TFI Young Adult / Student Leap Card?"
Employee: "Can I just screenshot this?"
Manager: "Absolutely not."
Employee: "What about this?"
Below is a screenshot of a stick drawing from the Windows Paint application.
One stick man looks happy with a speech bubble above him saying "Yay! I got 50% off with my Student Leap Card". The stick man next to him looks sad and has his hands on his hips and his speech bubble says "Aw I haven't applied for mine yet!" next to them is a drawn bus with Paint shapes and 'local link' on the side and the bus driver (stick man) is waving at them.

@futurebird@sauropods.winv I recommend the book "Quality Land" by @marcuwekling which depicts a wonderful future where you don't even have to order anything online the Shop already knows what you want, manages the payments and sends it with drones.

What does Snapchat want from your child? Snapchat's own website explains..... Full sources and more at xodus.online/why/#consumerism

Graphic showing scared children being grabbed by a Snapchat arm, scrolling on a smartphone, with full shopping trolly of clothes and cosmetics, and being targeted with an arrow.
Text from Snapchat website:
“Reach Gen Z and Millennials with Snapchat Ads – Snapchat reaches 90% of the 13-24 year old population and 75% of the 13-34 year old population in 25+ countries.”
“People interact with their closest circle of family and friends on Snapchat more than any other social network, opening the app nearly 40 times a day. That enthusiasm means they’re ready and willing to discover your business.”
“They’re More Receptive – When compared to watching the same ad on other platforms, people are 34% more likely to purchase products they see advertised on Snapchat — from businesses just like yours.”
“Snapchat Ads Manager offers several options to reach your preferred audience.
Standard Targeting: Select location and demographics including age, gender, language, and more.
Lookalike audience: Based on your customer list or Pixel Custom Audience, Snapchat will find more people similar to your best customers.”
