Astonishing that they thought that turning us into a bogger version of Brentford was the way forward. We already have an identity built up since 1882, they should have concentrated on turning us into a better version of Tottenham Hotspur and not an imitation of other clubs.

You state that the goal of the USSR during this period was Marxist Internationalism to spread the Revolution. But surely in the 1930s Stalin was more interested in domestic policy to strengthen Russia as the homeland of Communism with less interest in exporting it to other countries.

I was lucky enough to get Erasmus funding when I studied for my MA in Madrid (UAM) back in 1995. What a brilliant experience. I really feel sorry for students that will not benefit from it now because of Brexit.
