This article was terrifying to read. Not hard to believe that either Roberts was compromised somehow by the oil and gas industry (or paid handsomely by them), or was compromised by the Republican Party. No one person should have that power without full transparency.

First time I’ve seen a USACE CDR relieved for a non-moral issue. Recommend those Engineer officers who are either O5 or O6 thinking about District Command do a real “gut check”. Really think about how you want to leave the Army and whether or not taking a USACE district is “worth it”.

Anyone work on legislation? Might make sense for Federal employees, during a shutdown to be able to pull money from their TSP with no penalty. And to put money back in if they can after the shutdown with no issue. The thought came to me earlier today and wanted to get some feedback.

Quick question…for any National Guard unit federalized for use in cities…I assume they are on Title 10 orders (Federal) and not Title 32 orders (State). But if so, they are no longer the “National Guard”…they are the US Army. Why is the reporting continuing to say “National Guard”? And C2?

What’s happening at USAID is like if a 20something, with the backing of the President, went to a BCT CDR on Fort Liberty and said “Your entire unit is fired. Get your stuff out of this office space and get your people out of base housing in one week.” There would immediately be VIOLENCE!
