as an African American i am inherently aware of US propaganda, and i don’t think knowing that Mexico is part of North America is important to fighting fascism (or empire), knowing that Mexicans and other Latinos are human beings who don’t deserve to be locked in cages is but that’s just me

the issue is that it’s not that much of a US phenomenon, for the most part we are actually taught that North America *includes* all of Central America never once was i taught Mexico isn’t in North America and tbf i went to school in a less fascist region at a less fascist time but it’s still true
