I looked through old stuff from two years ago and found this 😂 I thought I could try animating and realized I don't know what I'm doing and gave up on this particular one back then. (I'm in the process of learning though.) And I made Damen way too small again... #captiveprince #caprisky

"Something human" by @ajdemas.bsky.social was recommended to me on my book post the other day, but it has a photo cover and I really dislike those,soooo... I just illustrated one myself after reading it.

Illustrated book Cover for "Something human" by A.J. Demas.
A late sunny afternoon in a greek looking court yard that has a fountain with a lion head in the middle. Two men (one olive skinned with black hair and a greek armor and the other has a bare chest with blue swirly tattoos all over his body and a blue kilt on) are sitting at the fountain's edge. One of them playfully sprays the other one with water from the fountain and they laugh.

"He loves me!" #captiveprince

Scene from Captive Prince
A small room in a tower. Laurent is sitting on a table in the front, he just put a goblet on the table. Two candlesticks, letters and wine pitcher are on the table. In the background , two soldiers hold a young man in their arms, who is screaming at Laurent. His cheek is red, because Laurent just hit him with the goblet. To the side is Damen who holds a visibly shocked Jord back from interfering in the situation.

"I think it's time he moves out."🐛 (Nicaise would definitely stay a gremlin even if he's all grown up.) #captiveprince #AU #caprisky

Alternate Universe of Captive Prince.
Damen is laying in an armchair sleeping with a book on his chest in the library. He wear casual clothing.
18 year old Nicaise is kneeling behind the chair and is trying to sneakily drop an insect into Damen's collar.
Laurent is just coming into the door and is surprised and shocked (in a funny way) to what Nicaise is trying to do with the insect.

The fork incident ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #captiveprince #caprisky

Fanart for Captive Prince a book by C.S.Pacat:
Laurent and Damen sit at a banquet table that is filled with delicious food like roasted chicken, potatoes, vegetables, grapes , and also candles. On Damen's left side sits Nicaise who is grinning viciously and stabbing Damen with a fork in the leg.
Damen reacts surprised but catches Nicaise's arm with his hand but a little bit too late.
Laurent looks over seemingly uninterested.
In the background a server is bringing a basket with bread.

Gonna let this one go into the archives.... I can't make it work. But I thought I post at least the sketch, because I haven't been able to post anything the past months. 🫠 I missed these two. #captiveprince
