youtu.be/oFADMypdhcw So, this is footage that we had to throw out because of audacity double recording the game audio as well. But there are some interesting moments in there I felt needed to be kept, including the Misako version of Player 2 dialogue.

Fortune's Weave streams have already slowed a lot recently, but they'll have to stop until I get a new external hard drive for my computer. I legit can't keep store anything more than my current videos.

Maybe at some point I could post content creation schedules (What day is a stream, what day is what video), but to be fair, I tend to do what I want in the moment.

Connie and the Essence of Chaos is giving me a dilemma. Do I want to turn on the assist mode for certain challenges, like escorting things to the end without dying, or just... the advanced courses overall? Because gamer pride, on one hand, but on the other hand, game based on Rayman 1. No mercy.

No Fortune's Weave today. Doing some FFXIV with a friend.

Age Verification needs to die in a fire. Because other people can't properly monitor their children, I have to jeopardise my own safety on social media sites and Steam if I want to look at mature content.

The other day while talking with a friend, I realised that it's actually been a very long time since Princess Peach has been kidnapped in a Mario game. Good for her, she can be her own princess now.

Video Games have a weird thing between story and gameplay. Some games don't need any story at all. Some can get away fine with an excuse plot. And that's okay.

New monitor installed! It's big and fancy, and scares me with all the new negative space on all my web pages. It's also being used as my second monitor, because the old one that's still going has a cable that's too short to reach to the right side.

000

Ekimmak @ekimmak.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Second monitor died one day before Dawntrail stream. Great.

youtu.be/h3pUBCvuG9Q Soveena is kind of tame for a first boss, but... she's a first boss. And I could see there being challenge if you aren't comfortable with the platforming. Keith, on the other hand, will mess you up regardless. His cannonballs have a bigger splash damage than you'd expect.

Decided to pick up a pencil again. Not great, I seem to struggle with long hair and hands, but at least it's one more thing that I've drawn in the last (checks notes) seven months.

It just struck me. So many years ago, I tried to stream for the first time with Final Fantasy XIV, but I couldn't get it to work, so went back to standard LPs. And now, I do actually stream FFXIV. Came full circle?

000

Ekimmak @ekimmak.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

I remember the time I had finally gotten around to Let's Playing a backburnered Let's Try, only to beat it because the game was actually only an hour long anyway. Conbunn Cardboard was still fun.

000

Ekimmak @ekimmak.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

I started a new FFXIV character. Part of me is wondering "Maybe I should have been streaming this", but realistically, who would want to watch someone who's been playing since ARR play a character from scratch? It's the actual sprouts that get attention at level 1.

One thing I had problems with in the PS2/PS3 gaming era was when games started having an opening tutorial sequence to subtly figure out whether you wanted inverted camera controls or normal ones Because I immediately figured out what they were doing, and started doubting which one I actually wanted

Whenever I see people trying to shill gen AI, I just think of the Yesod Library of Ruina story arc, and how all the abnormalities were along the lines of "It doesn't matter about the process, because we're getting great results!" But the results aren't even that good to justify the gen AI cost.
