Another difference between Zack Snyder and an ACTUAL artiste filmmaker like David Lynch? Lynch got his shot at a potential studio franchise when he was hired to direct the 1984 film Dune. It didn't go over well. But, rather than whine about how the studio screwed up, he moved on to better things.
