Striking welding lecturers stood outside Cathedral St Campus of CoGC as board members arrived for their meeting. Highlighting their 19th week of strike action in pursuit of appropriate RPE to keep them safe from breathing carcinogenic fumes while delivering welding lectures in the workshop.

We held a rally this morning in support of CoGC welding lecturers who have been in dispute over healthy and safety risks in their department. EIS FELA members are on strike not to seek a pay rise nor to protect terms and conditions, but to ensure protection for their health and wellbeing.
