Back when I worked on Agario, we met a player who’d beaten a rare disease. While in the hospital, the game helped them escape and brought them joy. I didn’t feel it at the time, but looking back, that might’ve been when my career peaked - my work made someone’s life a bit easier, a bit better.

One day late, but happy one year anniversary to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora! I still think it is a game full of incredible tech and very well executed from a gameplay perspective, even if it feels disjointed at parts. But above all that, it was a great project to be part of.

In a year full of game releases, Chants of Sennaar from rundisc deserves your attention. A beautifully crafted system that pushes you for exploration (with much appreciated little hand-holding), capturing the feeling of being a foreigner. One of the best games of last year.
