This was always my favorite meme of that incident...

In 2023, a Russian dog food factory was disposing of rotted unprocessed meat. A pallet of the meat fell off the truck and the smell attracted horrified onlookers. Rumors spread in eastern Europe that the pallet was actually the bodies of dead Russian soldiers that were being trucked to an incinerator so that Russian authorities could hide the casualties. People online began mocking Russian soldiers by telling them they will end up in a meat cube. This picture is a meme that played off of that. Clouds have been airbrushed to resemble the meat pallet picture. In a parody of the song "Spirit In The Sky", the text reads, "Goin' up to the meat cube in the sky, that's where I'm gonna go where I die, blyat". (Note: blyat is a Russian word often employed in places where an English speaker would angrily say FUCKING HELL)

I was talking last night about being suspicious of DSA because too many tankies. But this is why I don't automatically reject them. I have DSA neighbors and they do things to help people. Angie Craig and Amy Klobuchar just vote for MAGA policies/nominees, then give me a rictus grin and demand money.

"Jesus fucking Christ on a cross" pretty well sums up my reaction to seeing this claim.

A series of posts comparing the US war on Iran to Russia's infamously fumbled "three days to Kyiv" invasion of Ukraine. The original poster says, "But seriously, what do you mean the US lost one of its AWACs to Iranian strikes?" One commenter says, "Waiting for more reliable reporting but I'm curious and horrified to see how exactly Trump and Hegseth may have copied the Russian playbook (lose your AWACs stupidly)." A second commenter says, "Oh fuck we are doing the full Ukraine. Jesus fucking Christ on a cross." A third commenter who is fully versed in the history of Russians propagandists and memes related to the war in Ukraine adds, "My fellow Americans, I regret to inform you that it is our turn to ask WHAT AIR DEFENSE DOING"

Reminds me of one of my favorite WWII posters...

A government poster from World War Two that has a gorgeous blonde woman in a slinky evening gown, with a gardenia corsage, reclining in a chair. Three men in military uniforms hover around her and gaze at her adoringly. But the text says, "Keep mum, she's not so dumb! Careless talk costs lives!" It's a reference to spy agencies employing beautiful women to charm men, and get them to talk to much and reveal valuable information.
