Definitely not investment advice but whilst there may be a bubble and whilst it may burst, it isn’t going to be unexpected. These are the risks that markets try to price. Look at the FY1 PE’s of Samsung and nvidia, they wouldn’t be on such a rating if the market wasn’t pricing in something.

The other thing he misses is the markets following the GFC were risk off and HY issuance is more sensitive to the credit cycles. The distribution of ratings in the IG index has changed markedly since the GFC and low ratings and junk doesn’t carry the stigma it once did. Not sayings it’s good

Is this the thing other governments need to block or ban X. At the very least enforce current laws and regulations.

They should ban X and Facebook, or at least enforce the laws that exist and bring in more. They should be responsible for what they are amplifying. I’d maybe go further and ban all social media. If people want to find like minded people, good or bad, they should have to use a forum.

Im so pleased to hear it but don’t know what that has to do with this thread. You are an argumentative so and so, have fun. Ciao

It would be, it is, but can’t you at least recognise what I’ve already said. Largest voting block of shares. A chair is proposed and voted on. Buy 1 A share and you too could express your democratic freedom. This isn’t making your children special representatives and envoys.

I don’t think you understand how a company is structured, how a board of directors works, or the role of chair; equally what exec or non exec means. Nepotism costs us all something but it has nothing to do with political views. It’s most egregious face is political appointments or bribes.

Tonka @eightnil.bsky.social · 20/09/2026
Straw man argument if ever I saw one. He worked 33 years in the company and he been appointed non executive chair. It’s not like he’s been gifted DOD contracts or billions to supposedly manage. I have to say your points are weird and unconvincing

Berkshire have hired / promoted a CEO to run the business. Howard had been a director of Berkshire for 33 years. But is he ready for chairman? The family own 40% of BRKa, they have the votes and it is reasonable to want a say, or have a hand in how the company is managed.

I’m glad he’s explained so simply. We should ban X and Facebook immediately before we lose another penny. If we banned them we’d have enough money to rebuild the nhs. Or at least tax the buggers. Smoking has a high tax to discourage consumption, the same should be done to other unnecessary evils.

Is that FOB, we haven’t seen those levels in the front month

Tonka @eightnil.bsky.social · 15/09/2026
A governments debt is in effect perpetual, its level of debt reduces or increases as inflation and deficits, or surpluses, net each other off. In real terms the debt is paid down. Because most gov debt is nominal, rather than index linked, governments should run a deficit. Within limits.

Tonka @eightnil.bsky.social · 15/09/2026
If inflation is 4 and deficit 3 you are paying down debt. Not going to happen with this group of drunken sailors.

The buildout is bailed out with double dipping tax breaks, but that doesn’t solve the revenue line. Debt can be covered in a Fannie Freddie infrastructure arrangement, revenue with Gov contracts and 15% equity Token prices haven’t hit the floor yet, the cost pressure is training. So slow down

It’s a promotion for the Samaritans and trying to normalise access, if it helps a few people surely that is a win. As for the club doesn’t care, it seems someone has to push this through and gives the local Samaritans visibility. They have a record as well, deaf shirt, sensory rooms.

I’d accept the Benson & Hedges Golden Park before the Trump Arena. Otherwise not really that bothered, it’s just renting some space, we desperately need to build revenue off the pitch. Another unpalatable effect of PSR in the pursuit of so called competitive balance.

That chicken belongs in a kfc bucket blood, is one of the best lines I’ve heard in a match report. Classic spurs and only two games in. Can’t wait until we smash them at home. Having said that we had nothing in midfield and the last 20 odd minutes of the 1st half were tortuous.

Always winning, when you get to trillions and multiple billions you can’t lose, everyone goes bust and you buy up the pieces with your still 200 billion or millions. Then you let loads of people in, but they can only rent, not buy. Back to the golden age for a few.

When inflation is low, wages are linked to inflation, when productivity is low (because no one bothered to invest in a low inflationary environment), wages are held back because productivity is low. Now investment is concentrated in 1 sector. Many reasons but low wages are a sign of decline.

Where did you read that, I’d avoid any info that came from that source forever. 18 x 145m = 2.6bn. We’d be over the moon if we got 75m a match day. 1.35bn would make us the highest earning club in any league on match revenue alone

Reassuring to see the worlds biggest producer exporting more products now than at the start of the war, the invisible hand of the market explaining FAFO. Consumers buy gas and diesel, not oil. Surprised he hasn’t put an export tariff on distillates.

You live in a parallel universe, the alliances are shifting, rearming without US tech. If countries aren’t reliant on the U.S. for protection and free trade, they don’t need to buy its goods. Neg for US exports, making it more difficult to support military ambitions, the burden was your superpower.

Tonka @eightnil.bsky.social · 11/07/2026
Nice idea, it’s a shame many actions and most of the words are aimed at undermining that ideal. Ask yourself if the U.S. military is stronger today, or even considered stronger? I’d suggest not, which is an issue for you but a problem for the world.

If they were borrowing in size at that end of the curve it would be more of an issue, but like someone addicted to payday loans they are recklessly short. Dollar weighted 6-7 years, and that’s with 25% in t bills. Problem for the housing market and future administrations / taxpayers

This shouldn’t be underestimated, social media does have some obvious benefits, but the negative aspects now far outwit any benefits.

The lack of focus on long term benefits has created the catch 22 of today’s politics. Investing for the long term is easier when people can see the benefits generated from previous administrations doing so. We seem unable to see that taxes on a larger economy can be smaller on the individual. Invest
