r.j. nye @ego573.com · 04/09/2026Not bad! Beyond having lived most of my life in Texas, I also wonder how growing up in a deaf household shaped my dialect 🤔 110
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 29/08/2026i wrapped up 7.5 today and i want to say that i love final fantasy xiv 010
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 10/08/2026gonna put on my hater hat for a tiny moment and say this is the most annoying way to release a game soundtrack for purchase 030
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 22/05/2026FFXIV on the Steamdeck feels so right. Feels like a dream realized from the first time I used remote play on my PS Vita to play FFXIV in 2013 010
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 18/04/2026My Marathon buddies. They always cuddle under my desk when I’m dying in Dire Marsh 🥲 050
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 21/01/2026Seriously what a great run up to the final boss. Can’t stop thinking about this game. 000
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 10/01/2026That’s a wrap on Wuchang. Outstanding all the way through, especially the combat and level design. Also the visual design and creative direction was excellent, rivaling Sekiro and Elden Ring in parts, especially by the end. I cannot wait for whatever this studio makes next. 100
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 14/11/2025Poster design from a few years back. I really had fun turning a spur-of-the-moment idea into a realized poster design, but the thought of designing in my free time feels like pulling teeth. Who has the time or energy? 🤐 051
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 05/11/2025For my birthday, my incredible wife who knows me better than anyone in the entire world got me something I’ve wanted for over thirty years. I love this woman 😭 070
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 11/09/2025I organized all of my NIN albums by Halo # and my media player apparently sorts things by lexicographic order. Truly a tragic day for me. 020
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 09/09/2025Another example for the pile: the Spanish label distributing the WipeOut Vol. 2 soundtrack is pausing all physical preorders and sales to the US, instead creating a list of "interested" buyers they can reach out to with extra stock if and when this shit goes away 030
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 06/09/2025I don’t think I’ll ever get this close to Trent Reznor again. Great NIN show in Raleigh! 030
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 23/08/2025Getting these for like $160 including 2-day shipping from Amazon JP is kinda outrageous. 010
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 22/05/2025Aww RIP Pocket/Read it Later. Once a crucial part of my web browsing experience when keeping track of webpages was much more tedious than it is today. 020
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 29/01/2025I don’t know what Mr. Reznor’s got cooking up his sleeve for this B Stage but my fiancee and I will be right in front of it 👀 130
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 12/12/2024No surprise since Balatro was our family-time game. Top five played were Balatro, Dragon’s Dogma II, Elden Ring, FFVII Rebirth, and Dragon Quest III. 020
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 27/11/2024Cooked one bird in advance of tomorrow. I caught a small taste after it was done and omfg it was so good 010
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 15/11/2024This is such a cool feature in Dragon Quest III. When you talk to anyone, you can press a button to save their dialogue string to reference later. So useful for hints and secrets. Kinda has FFII password vibes 🤔 110
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 07/11/2024I set my feed to warn before showing NSFW media so this is what it looks like for me (on mobile, at least) 010
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 04/10/2024It used to be fairly exposed in their original UI. I cannot imagine why they would deprioritize its function considering how much configuring components and variants are core to the design experience of this software. Attached is the same component property panel but in the original UI. 000
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 04/10/2024You see the tiny "Properties" text? Under the component name and above the list of component properties? Turns out you have to hover over it to reveal a modest "+" symbol. Clicking that finally reveals the component properties. Why would they hide this?? 100
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 04/10/2024In Figma's new UI3, where would you think to go to create a new component property? I clicked on every icon and even tried doing it through the Figma Actions panel. The answer may shock you! 100
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 01/10/202410 hours is waaay too much music for a single video game. What is the point of such a gargantuan tracklist? Screenshot is from the Stellar Blade OST on Apple Music. 010
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 17/09/2024Super interesting (to me at least): My mom found an article from the Austin American-Statesman in 1978 that profiled her parents, from a larger series on Austin Deaf culture. 110
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 16/09/2024Look, if you're not including 30 distinct colors in your brand's color palette, are you really a brand designer? 010
r.j. nye @ego573.com · 09/09/2024I don't know how I didn't know this by now. Ryuichi Sakamoto composed the theme for Dawn of Mana for PS2. Huh! 010
