Are you still active on the kiddie-porn-generating Nazi bar that is Xitter, but nowhere else? I can't find any meaningful presence from you here, on Insta or Threads. As much as I dislike Meta, and as likely as it is that Bluesky eventually withers because it can’t keep up… what gives?

How much will the referendum on having a referendum, and on 9 questions that can’t be provincially implemented cost? $90 million tax dollars. 60,000 workers to be hired by Elections Alberta. You could build 3 schools for that. That’s your money #ableg www.elections.ab.ca/resources/me...

I can see that. It’s definitely not for everyone. I think it’s striking a chord with us because it isn’t just rinse, respawn, repeat. It’s the only game I’ve played that makes me sit with my losses, study what went wrong, and think about how to improve. That’s its value.

My friends and I are pushing 50. We own, operate companies, work for Fortune 500s, and the RCMP. We’re busy. We grew up on Quake, TF2, Half-Life. We aren’t fast, but we all play Marathon. It’s the best competitive online experience I’ve had in a decade. You don’t have to “git gud” you have to adapt.

I’m a fan, but haven’t picked up the book yet because of the cost. Is it priced that way for the education market? The grim parable: the information we need to better understand and combat disinformation is expensive, while the misinformation it’s meant to answer is plentiful, cheap, and everywhere.

People who use “woke” rarely have a real definition for it. It’s just a catch-all for anything that makes them uncomfortable because they’ve lost the ability to adapt.

It’s affordable. Many call it the best FPS in a decade, me among them. Give it a go. What is the worst that could happen?

Don Eglinski @eglinski.corporate.wtf · 25/03/2026
A lot of the criticism of #marathonthegame comes from reviewers judging what it isn’t instead of engaging with what it is. The strongest reviews admit it clicked after time. They let the design shape the experience. And once it does, the game that exists is better than the one people had in mind.
010
Don Eglinski @eglinski.corporate.wtf · 25/03/2026
I love Rook runs so much. I can sympathise with the reviewer’s points even if I disagree with them. #marathonthegame is easily one of the best FPS of the last decade. Presuming Sony make a mess of it, it will only stand to improve over time.

Bungie acknowledged it, removed it, and reached a resolution the artist publicly said was satisfactory. That’s not “erasure,” it’s accountability. The key distinction is that they admitted fault and corrected it. Companies that face real plagiarism scandals typically deny or fight. Bungie didn’t.
000
Don Eglinski @eglinski.corporate.wtf · 01/03/2026
If the criticism is about weak internal controls, that’s fair. Calling it ongoing plagiarism as a defining trait of the studio is not supported by the facts.
100
Don Eglinski @eglinski.corporate.wtf · 01/03/2026
Other cited examples (fan art in a trailer, Nerf product design) were also acknowledged and corrected after the fact. That reflects failures in review and asset control, not evidence of an intentional practice of theft.
100
Don Eglinski @eglinski.corporate.wtf · 01/03/2026
Your article treats multiple unrelated incidents as proof of systemic plagiarism, but that overstates the record. In the Marathon case, Bungie acknowledged unauthorized art that slipped in via a former employee’s asset, removed it, and reached a resolution the artist publicly said was satisfactory.
