Ooof, how is it already October? But it is one of the best seasons....HALLOWEEN. At AKA Cartoon, I got to work on the Halloween special, and as the designer, it was my job to push and tweak some of the poses. This is based off of a damn fine board drawing by @thebiggestjim.bsky.social

Another one from the Ed, Edd n Eddy daze. I started on the show in Sept of 1999 (not 2019 like I posted yesterday😵‍💫). Whoops, my brain stopped braining 🧠

New episodes of Sausage Party-Foodtopia drop on Prime today. I was a Supervisor on the second season (along with a very talented crew...and I won't say much, but a lot of crazy shit happens, and my fave character was Sherman, the completely deadpan Sex Cake;) 🍰🌶️🌭🍊

Record cover study from 4 years ago🎺 Based off of the Dizzy Gillespie single drawn by the great John Brandt. While researching jazz covers from the 50’s and 60’s, I found out John Brandt was in Ward Kimball’s animation unit!!! #art #records #jazz

A very talented group of misfits cartoonists in Vancouver. Today is AKA Cartoon’s anniversary…I wanna say 31st?! I’m not positive what Danny is cookin up these daze, but I will say I’ve worked on some pretty crazy projects over the last few years, that unfortunately haven’t got off the ground✏️

#tbt. Pencil+Paper Daze✏️ AKA Cartoon in the early 2000’s. The days well before smartphones, but included Discmans, jars with pencil nubs, model sheets taped on desks, questionable content pinned to your clipboard 📌, stacks of paper and loads of compact discs💿 #animation #cartoon

I hope everyone went to support 2D Animation, and saw The Day The Earth Blew Up in theatres. It's been really cool and inspiring to see artists posting their production work including Jim Soper. A lot of Jim's influence oozed in here!! Hurry to the theatre!! Some unbelievable animation in it!!🍟📽️

Saturday Morning Cartoons. One funny thing about Ed, Edd n Eddy, was it was a big hit in the US🇺🇸, but we really had no idea. We were just a small cartoon studio in Gastown🇨🇦. We didn’t have the show on Canadian television. We didn’t have CN. Eventually Danny had to get satellite TV for us to watch📡

Squash+Stretch+Spin+WHAM EFX. When I signed on to be a character designer on Ed, Edd n Eddy, I quickly realized I’d be responsible for EFX designs. Here’s a few examples. I had to push the board poses (which were already pushed super far. Helluva story team worked on this show!!) #ededdneddy
