I grew up in Dallas but I've lived in Boston for about twenty years. Last fall I was walking home from my local MBTA stop. There was no one else on this path, except for a guy up ahead sitting on one of the steps. It wasn't until I was within about ten feet of him that I noticed he was just finishing up injecting something into his ankle. I didn't want to be the asshole who stumbles through someone else's private (albeit also public) moment, but I was also too close to turn around and go another way without seeming judgmental or huffy. So I just soldiered on, and we made brief eye contact and exchanged a nod.

His expression changed when he saw my hat, and he spat out "The Cowboys? Oh mannnnn" in the huffiest, most judgmental manner you could imagine.

You could try abandoning any semblance of tech. & grab an Olympus Pen series camera. They were half-frame cameras with [oft dead] selenium meters & auto shutter speed select.. But.... B/c they had TWO whole shutter speeds, well, if the meter is dead, it don't matter. There's very little to guess.

Except for [sad] Mavs fans.... Strangely enough, when I said 'defaced' I did mean it as 'vandalised', but remembered that 'Defaced' is official Vexillogical term for a modified flag. What I actually meant was 'Desecration' which is an INSANE way to refer to altering a flag. And is 100% legal.

..... And some more! While the XA series do feature a lot of '80's electronics, the Pen 1/2 Frames do not. The Selenium meters around the lens do fail, but the Pen Series only had 2 Shutter speeds so if the meter fails the camera still works but with only one speed.

Essentially, Yes. The body is just an improvement of the SR-1 Body from 1959. The SR-2 came first, but has slightly different internals from the SR-1, and the SR-1 was basically a cheaper ver. anyway. Then they killer it in favour of the AWFUL [but sleek] X-Body. THE METER ONLY WORKS IN AUTO MODE!

Well, at least he has good taste in watches. The h/top should be a fastback. I always think the Hi-Beat is a Hand-Wound King style movement. Ignorance! I have 4 lovely [cheap] Seikos. 2 Divers [Can't recall Model ATM] and 2 Autos with attractive designs. I also exclusively use EPSON Projectors.

2 Seiko Auto wristwatches and 2 Seiko Dive Watches.

All original Seiko Diver. Runs a little slow. Bezel a little stiff. Time/date adjustment knob doesn't always click into the 'date' function right.

Packaging is dogshit these days. This is an extension tube for an Exakta SLR. Prob 1950's or 60's. Exakta is a German Brand. The box transmits this info to you. Accura was a distro imprint of no real import, but they knew branding goddammit! That font! The colours! THE ALTERNATING FONT COLOURS!

Like WHY doesn't the ring attach! You would have to swap out ALL if these components to change the mount. C-Mount FFD is one of the shortest already!

An additional issue is that the the flat base of the lens is integral to the mount. The C-mount is NOT attached to the barrel of the lens. It is HELD IN PLACE by the screw on base onto the end of the barrel. If the mount lost the internal rubber o-ring or shims IT WOULD NOT FOCUS CORRECTLY.

Barrel end lens mount. Screws don't attach to c-mount ring. One screw is missing because it strpped, another is not used to mount the flange.

Like 4.5 hours and 2 blisters later.... It FITS. The problem was the flat base of the lens meant the reinforcement bolstering on the ring prevented it from flush fitting, and the C-S Adaptor changes the flange focal distance which prevents the lens from focusing. SO SANDING IT IS.

I lack access to a sander that I could risk damaging or a sander suited to this. And a file or rasp would have been too severe. A saw would have been too imprecise. SO I HAND SANDED IT. ..... It did take over an hour before I geabbed gloves and a sanding board.
